Stocks by attributes

Hello everybody,

I'm trying the SBA module (thanks for the job done) with ZC version 1.3.9 f

I have this issue if a customer add several products in the shopping cart:

If the FIRST product added is in stock everything works ok.
If the FIRST product added is out of stock all the other products added later are marked '***' out of stock even if they are in stock.

Could it be a bug? Am i the only one with this problem?

Thanks in advance

Re: Stocks by attributes

we are using zen cart v1.3.9ep1

on the Products with Attributes Stock page, when we click save we get this error

A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.

Script: http://www.foxvalleybirkenstock.com/ajax/jquery.js:11

any help would be appreciated

I've just checked other zc shops linked on this thread... they work like mine.. i assume that my problem is probably not a problem..

Oddly enough this mod seems to work without error in the safari web browser
But it is extremely slow
I think part of the problem is the number of items it is showing the page
One site has 6859 items and the other has 2276 items
The one with 2276 is noticeably faster, but still a little slow
Would there be a way to limit the items displayed, “say by clearance items”

Re: Stocks by attributes

I'm having a devil of a time finding the edits for orders.php in the latest stock by attributes mod to install with zencart 1.3.9h

I'm using winmerge and just can't see it....but I do have a few other mods installed...still...no blocks of code are indicated in the mods orders.php as being the begin and end of edits.

Here is my orders.php with the SBA mod's version below. Can someone help please....this has been a few days now and I've redone all the edits several times. just can't get it to show in the admin....get this error:

1054 Unknown column 'sort' in 'order clause'
in:
[select * from products_with_attributes_stock where products_id="328" order by sort ASC;]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

Working file with installed mods, EDIT ORDERS & TY PACKAGE TRACKER all but SBA

MY QUESTION:

WHERE ARE THE EDITS TO THE SBA MOD FOR ORDERS.PHP??? ARE THEY CLEARLY SEPERATED? CAN'T FIND THEM!

Re: Stocks by attributes

ok sorry....it occurred to me to look for SBA and Kuroi....whew!

with multiple mods installed with so much code involved, maybe separating off the little bit of code change in this mod with a little more fan fare would be an idea.

thanks for all your hard work on this, nonetheless....

Re: Stocks by attributes

there seem to be two threads...I've posted my other issues with this mod breaking my cart elsewhere...

solved the above problem by running the update sql file in the mods folder

BUT...BIG BIG BUT....this issue with the quantities not updating and the customer being able to check out with things not in stock is a deal breaker.

I've replaced the shopping_cart / header_php.php file with the one from Kuroi's MULTIADD mod and that helps but the style sheet suddenly dropped out of the admin.

Re: Stocks by attributes

I was trying to find how to add the inventory for each size. I somehow managed to make 3 size categories (42, 44 and 46) which is great, but I have two of the 44 and 46 and only one of the 42. How can I do this?

Re: Stocks by attributes

One would have only ONE item with the sizes added as attributes
https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=57

Then install a 3rd party module "stock by Attributes"
Available in the free software add on area, link above left

Re: Stocks by attributes

This is so frustrating. I appreciate everyone's answers, but I already have Stock by Attribute installed, and I already have each size as an attribute. Unfortunately, that does not answer my question. How do I assign each size it's own inventory? I really need this spelled out for me I guess.

There is a code edit here from Grayson, but the file that we are told to edit is include/modules/pages/product_info/main_template_vars_attributes.php and that does not exist in my file directory. I found something on Wikipedia that states:

This is relatively straightforward if you have only a single attribute such as size of color for each product. Code for this is proposed in this archive thread[1]. Seek out post #110 by Grayson, and her correction in #132 **and apply the changes to the includes/modules/attributes.php file instead of includes/modules/pages/product_info/main_template_vars_attributes.php **

Of course, the code we are supposed to change does not exist in that file! And the site keeps giving the message:* The connection has timed out. The server at https://www.zen-cart.com is taking too long to respond.*

This seems as if it would be an obvious thing to do, but it is not obvious to me. Can someone walk me through it, please?

We have come across this issue as well using sba version 1.4.12. So far safari does handle this mod better.

Re: Stocks by attributes

I sort of have this working, but the real concern is that I was hoping that the option to choose a size would disappear when there is "0" inventory remaining. Easier for the customer.

Re: Stocks by attributes

Is there a setting to make the attribute unavailable if the inventory is "0"?

For instance, if there are no more size 42 jackets, then the option to choose the size 42 jacket is not there.
