Upload digital products

  • create your products using the "product-music" product type.
  • Go to Admin->Extras->Media Manager
  • create a new collection
  • edit the collection and add media clips to it ... browse+add (this will upload files to the /media folder ... which must be read/write)
  • edit the collection and click "Assign to products", and choose the product to which these clips should be linked

Then you'll see the clips appear on the product page in the store

Hello,
I do as describe above.
And the music demo cips do assinged to the album.
But I didn't see the cipls appear in the product page???
Thanks for help...

Re: Upload digital products

graper:

Sabastina, In Zencart, how does one enable a sample file for download so that a shopper can listen to the song before purchase? Do we use another attribute?

Granville

There's suppose to be another type field right under the "Downloadable products:" in attributes controller named "MP3/WAV/WMA/WMV/AIF/MID Filename.", but it doesn't seem to be there anymore?!! Not sure if this is on purpose or if its an add-on that must be installed or what?
If anyone has any answers please let us know. I'm having the same problem here!

Thanks ahead!

I don't recall that particular field name being in the original Zen Cart files. Must be an addon.
Where exactly did you come up with the statement "There's supposed to be ..."?

There's a field named "Downloadable products: Filename:" in the normal Attributes Controller script.

If that's missing, it would point to having a bad copy of the file, or an addon that's broken/changed it.
