Need help with the Admin - Urgent!

I was working on the backend Admin part of my site yesterday and as I was adding some items, this message came up:

1062 Duplicate entry '32767' for key 1

I am beside myself as I the whole backend is gone! I can't access anything. Can anyone help and is anyone else experiencing this?

In the navigation bar above is 'search'. Put your error code in the box on the upper left, click go - you should find lots of threads in the archives with help.

I've searched the current and archive posts and nothing comes up - other than my post.

Can anyone help????? Please.

It's just ... so strange that I could find the results in matter of secs with the forum's search engine.

Well, thank you. A search brought up no results for ME. I don't know why everyone is always so rude around here. It's not very becoming, welcoming or appreciated, especially from people who know very little about this system. Maybe you should go take a look at the OS Commerce boards and see how they treat each other over there.

Normally, I would agree here. However, you must consider that this error message was already reported several times in the past as several posts were returned when using the forum's search engine. Spending a little more time in the search engine's result page would not hurt anyone. :tup.

Be that as it may, maybe you could consider how shocked I feel when I see my whole backend gone and then coming here for answers and just sort of being brushed off.

I am not a web designer nor am I proficient in HTML. I am just looking for laymen's terms on how I can remedy my admin situation.

As an aside, upgrading to v1.3.0.1 will not only fix this problem but also give you tools in Admin->Tools->Store Manager to purge your admin activity log which obviously now has a lot of data in it.

I have the same problem with the following message:

I have read all of the messages and they make absolutely no sense at all to me. I do not know where to find phpMyAdmin and I cannot find the log file anywhere that is mentioned in the threads on this forum.

Am I supposed to find these through using my FTP program or is this in admin? I have tried to find this in both and cannot find it at all. If anyone can help me with this I would appreciate it as I am totally stumped.

I need someone to explain step-by-step exactly where I find all of this and change whatever needs to be changed in order for me to get it right. Everything that has been metioned so far I do not understand and I cannot run my business without proper access to my admin area.

Or even on 32767 you will find a quick solution for those sites that have not upgraded ...

I would however recommend that you upgrade to at least v1.2.7d ... there are a number of bugfixes, security issues, features etc. that you are lacking ...

I appreciate your help. Maybe I'm being a bit dumb but I have searched and searched for the answer on this forum and I do not understand what any of the answers are saying.

Where do I find the admin_activity_log? Do I do this by FTP? Where should it be?

What is this phpMyAdmin? Where do I find it? How do I get to it?

In the post I gave you ... there is a sql statement that can be run to update the admin_activity_log table in the database ... via phpMyAdmin ...

That is really all you need to do ...

Find your database in phpMyAdmin ... click the SQL link and paste in the update code for the fix ...

NOTE: phpMyAdmin should be available through your Control Panel ...

If you do not know how to get into it, then contact your hosting site and ask them what to do so that you can ...

I literally do not know what you mean by phpMyAdmin. I cannot find it and do not know where to look for it. Is it accessed through the admin section of the site?

I have found no answer as to where to start looking for this. I dont know if it is a file or a link or what.

Write an email to the guy you pay money to for your site ...

Ask them where your Control Panel is and how to access it ...

Ask them where your phpMyAdmin is and how to access it ...

We really cannot tell you how to get to phpMyAdmin ... your hosting site knows this information ...

We can just tell you what to do when you get there ...
