how can i edit the sentence in the mainpage ? the sentence is

This is the most easiest step. You have many possibilities for finding the answers for this case.

1 - Using the forum search engine, since this has already been posted several times in the past.

2 - Using the developpers tool kit from the admin section - > tools menu.

3 - To read the PDF Documentation's FAQ - posted and announced by DrByte, since the new forum interface has been released.

4 - After installing Zen Cart for the first time, the index page directly specify where specific text are located - within specifc files (when using the template_default one of course).

Personally, the quickest solution would be no 4.

To avoid confusions, in case of any other languages that might be involved - let's state it like this:

/includes/languages/<your_language>/index.php

EXCUSE ME, please help, I'm not new at this (PHP) just rusty and new to ZEN. About all of the above, yeah same topic but I already had all that figured out, I'm just trying to figure out how to upload index.php. When I upload it, it's not recognized. Do I HAVE to edit it through the admin or something? The file on the server shows my changes but the site doesn't . . . what am I forgetting or missing here???

Sorry to ask an obvious question, but if you can see it and confirm that the information has changed, but Zen Cart doesn't recognise the new text, are you sure that you put it in the right place? This is easy to get wrong until you get the hang of it.

The correct place, if you are using English, would be:
includes/languages/english/index.php

You know, sometimes it takes an obvious question to get you to look at it twice, with all the long file trees, I had actually modified the file in admin/includes/etc.

I found where to change the Welcome Guest but I can not find where that s is before welcome.

Sounds like a typo ... find where the Welcome Guest is ... you could have added sWelcome or you could of added s . CONSTANTNAME that would make that happen as well ...
