Google sitemap keeps popping warnings on my sitemaps.

URLs not followed
When we tested a sample of the URLs from your Sitemap, we found that some URLs were not accessible to Googlebot because they contained too many redirects. Please change the URLs in your Sitemap that redirect and replace them with the destination URL (the redirect target). All valid URLs will still be submitted.

It was suggested that this may be due to redirecting links. Is there a way to have the mod not include redirect links? And if so how?

i have resubmited my sitemaps to google and i am not recieveing any errors anymore :D

You must know the address and redirect reasons.
What version of the Google SitemapAdmin?
I can add a tool to check url in sitemaps xml.

• If you use dynamic pages (for instance, the URL contains a ? character), be aware that not all search engine spiders crawl dynamic and static pages. It helps to keep the parameters short and the number of them few.
• If you are permanently redirecting from one page to another, use a permanent redirect (301).
• Where possible, use absolute rather than relative links. (For instance, when linking to another page in your site, link to https://www.example.com/mypage.html rather than simply mypage.html).301 (Moved permanently) The requested page has been permanently moved to a new location. When the server returns this response (as a response to a GET or HEAD request), it automatically forwards the requestor to the new location. You should use this code to let Googlebot know that a page or site has permanently moved to a new location.

i had the same error, the error is got to do with you submitted a sitemap and then changed something so what the sitemap says and what google bot sees is different i belive. i just updates and pinged google again and 3 days later error was gone :D

I thought that was the case with my site to, so I did the same thing. I recreated, resubmitted and re-pinged everything. It worked for a few days and then starting popping warnings again (even though I didn't change anything).

I've read most of this thread and searched around, but I haven't seen anyone that couldn't find their sitemap. I ran the Google XML Sitemap in February, then I read the post today about the debug code, so I instlalled the latest version and ran it again. Ther is NO sitemap.xml file generated that I can see. My site is in /catalog/ in my server. I looked in most of the top-level dirs and there are no XML files there at all. The googlesitemap.php file is here and there, but there are no xml files near them.

Where is ti supposed to be? I am running Zen Cart 1.3.8a. This site was installed in February, so the cart and modes are all pretty much up-to-date.

What I'm doing wrong?
I'm trying to install this mod but the only thing that happens: Into Admin>Conficuration there appears "Google XML Sitemap". There is nothing to conficure. In Admin>Tools there is nothing new.
What is the location I exactly have to copy these XML-files and PHP-files?

I recreated and reloaded my sitemaps. And google is still giving the same warnings...

Okay so here is my issue and I'll try my best to expalin it.

I have created my site map through site map admin and it creates the three site maps for the index, categories and products. However it displays:

Generated Google Sitemap Index Successfully - http://www.mydomain.com/sitemapindex.xml

The above message is displayed for all three files but the problem is that they are really not there and were actually created in the http://www.mydomain.com/mystore/ directory which is the correct place.

And eventhough sitemapindex.xml, sitemapcategories.xml and sitemapproducts.xml are all in http://www.mydomain.com/mystore/ - sitemapindex.xml has the path of the other two files as http://www.mydomain.com/sitemapcategories.xml and http://www.mydomain.com/sitemapproducts.xml

And if I hit send to crawler in step 2 of site map admin, it sends the sitemap path of http://www.mydomain.com/sitemapindex.xml

So this is causing the search engines to fail when they try and crawl my site.

Any ideas on how to fix? Thanks.

my store has around 49000 products, everytime i attempt to make the sitemap, it takes ages and then frezzes. is there an alternative, or somethin im doing wrongs. please help.

I have a lot of products too, over 30,000. Maybe there's an upper limit? Has anyone been able to make a sitemap in a large store?

Any thoughts on how I can correct this issue?

Have no clue how to correct. In my case I had just upgraded from ZenCart 1.3.7 to 1.3.8a. After upgrading ZenCart I decided to upgrade to the latest version of Google Sitemap Admin (1.3.19). Executed uninstall.sql first, then loaded the new files and ran install.sql. Everything seems to be working normally except for this error report. Don't know if MSN accepted the ping as I cannot find a dashboard on MSN like there is on Google. I presume the notification failed. My sitemap location is correctly listed with www in the robots.txt file.

Woodymon:

Uninstall with uninstall.sql that comes with the mod. Then remove the mod files you uploaded. No core Zen Cart files are altered when installing this mod.

Note the Google Sitemap module for Zen Cart which we are referring to in this thread and other sitemaps are different animals. This mod just uploads your info to Google so Google has more info on what to crawl on your site (and also generates helpful webmaster related suggestions about your sites on your domain).

The sitemap application you purchased likely just generates a sitemap file for your entire domain which then you post a link on your sites pages. It likely has no overlap with Google Sitemap.

Can you provide a URL to the program you purchased?

Note Zen Cart also comes with it's own built-in sitemap functionality, which you can also disable but I don't recommend.

It's all just spider food!

Hello Woody. How do you run the uninstall. I am trying the Amazon exporter (the Google one actually worked fine), it is not working correctly. It has a uninstall.sql file. How do I go about uninstalling the Amazon Exporter? Thank you!

My install of this mod is working fine, with the exeption of the EZPages sitemap. For some reason this file is created, but is always empty. Does anyone know what I need to change for this to be corrected?

This self-corrected a few hours later. I presume there was a problem at MSN at the time.... either that or I needed to exit my browser and restart the browser as no further changes were made to my site during the problem.

Exactly same problem! Anyone any ideas?

Another issue is the sitemapezpages.xml，it always shows error, so I delete it from sitemapindex.

And for multilanguage site, I found only one language is indexed in google, am not sure why, and is looking at if another language's info can be shown.

All installed and it creates the sitemaps ok...but the ping isn't working, it says:

Warning: file() [function.file]: URL file-access is disabled in the server configuration in /home/*******/public_html/googlesitemap.php on line 124

There are similar errors for yahoo etc...any ideas??

How should my robot.txt be set up if my store is not in my root dir? It is in https://www.jhelectonics.com/catalog, but my robot text is in my root.
