In the includes/languages I created:
includes/languages/cameron1
and tried to update includes/languages/english/conditions.php by using the template override system and putting a copy of conditions.php to the includes/languages/cameron1/english/conditions.php directory.
Is this the correct usage of the template override system?
My override structure is includes/languages/my_template/english.php and
includes/languages/english/my_template/various.php i.e. the english and my_template directories are the other way round for all the overrides except for english.php. I prefer your structure, but can't say whether or not it will work. Does it seem to you that it does?
However, your question also raises an interesting point about altering conditions text. I would have done this via the define_pages_editor from the tools menu in Admin. However, that appears to not go near the conditions.php file and instead updates the define_conditions.php file in the default html_includes directory on your server. So if, like me, you a running development, testing and live locations, only one of them gets the update and its treated as a destructive edit to the original file rather than an overide. Though this isn't a problem as the file only contains holding text that you wouldn't want to appear on your site anyway.
Anyway, the key here is that only the page heading and navbar title appear to be taken from conditions.php. The text variable seems to be ignored in favour of the contents of includes/langiages/english/html_includes/define_conditions so although your approach has merits, it may simply not work!
