Email Throttling

My sentiments exactly, I have currently got PHPlist set up, but it's another admin interface, and more unfortunate is that you have to go through an export/import process for all new subscribed/unsubscribed customer from Zen Cart every time you want to send a newsletter. Also, I would like Zen Cart's ability to send to various groups of customers based on their activity and product notification status. If anyone has a slick way of linking the two programs email databases' that would probably be an acceptable solution too.

yeah it is a great thought, if having and external program for email throttling, but at the same time it just means one more back end for me to train my customers in. I I new on ant programs that we simple to integrate and that I could just add the back end to the zen cart admin I would do it, in a flash

I don't think you mean "banner".
The Zen Cart "logo" is contained in the /email/header.jpg file, which you can edit and replace with your own logo if you prefer.

Okay, a quick status update. This is about 65% finished. The admin module is built, and newsletters are being sent to queue. Just have to work out a few bugs in the actual sending process and set up a few configs and it will be ready to go. More info as it is available...

I realize this is an old thread but the concept / module would go over in a big way with everyone using Zen Cart.

Just wanted to see if anything ever came about.

I have to second robs statement, that this would be a very good thing.

Did this ever go anywhere? My host has a 200 per hour limit, and we have 1400 customers. They lock me out of Admin if i try to send a newsletter.

Any good ideas out there?
