How to write debug messages on top of page?

Hi

I am making some modifications to some pages and need to write some debug messages on top of the page. Is there any API available in Zen Cart? If not, then what's the best way to do it?

Thanks

Re: How to write debug messages on top of page?

<?php echo 'I SEE THIS ' . put_debug_stuff here . '<br>'; ?>

php echos that do not have a home float to the top of the area that they are located ...

I like to make them obvious with the 'I SEE THIS' and the break on the end ...
