instructions to set up credit cards

Hello. I am looking for some definitive direction to set up the credit card payment. I'm afaraid i don't understand some of the stuff on the forum however I have
checked the FAQ and forums and the links (that get close) in the forums don't go to the place expected. I have setup "Configuration/Credit cards - turned on" & "Modules/Payment/Credit Card is enabled". Is the next step tp setup Authorize.net? I did get the email BTW showing that the order had been placed. So what do i do next? Again, sorry i have searched for 1.5 hrs looking for info. (No reflection on the sight - Zencart's the coolest). Oh and i like the new layout too.

The answer to your question pretty much depends on how you intend to process credit card transactions. do you want it all automated? are you going to manually enter them? if you want all automated then you should set up authorize.net with your merchant account (assuming your merchant account is setup for online payments - you will have to check w/ merchant account to see if it is). If you are going to manually enter the credit card transactions, then i think part of the CC is stored in your admin and the other part of it gets emailed to you.
