My Site or Paypal - Gift Certificates

Okay,

So we just moved our site over to the new version and everything is working well. To test out paypal I bought a gift certificate through paypal for my friend. It took the money from my account, put it into the business account... all good there.

However, there is no record of the purchase on my zencart admin page, no record of it in "my account" so I can send it to my friend, and what I'm wondering right now is... is this a site issue? Is this paypal? It seems like it's on my end but what's up?

Anyone else having this issue? It looked like it should have worked fine as all emails were sent out by paypal and money was exchanged.

Help is GREATLY appriciated, in advance. :)

Re: My Site or Paypal - Gift Certificates

First ... make a normal product order using Check/Money Order ... Does it work?

Next buy a GV using Check/Money Order ... does it work?

Next buy a normal Product, this can be a $0.10 product, using Check/money order ... does it work?

If all work except any Product type with PayPal ... then we need to step back and fix your PayPal setup ...

Yep.

It did.

Yes.

Okay well at least I know where the issue lays. Yesterday we had uninstalled it and reinstalled it (paypal module under payments) and we hoped that would help. Certainly we saw more options and it appeared like it would worked when we did a test purchase but ... no dice. The transaction cleared through paypal but it didn't log the purchase in the customer records in the admin area or on the customer's "account" area of the site.

Any clues what I'm missing?

http://www.hortonstores.com/GameStore (this is the one we tested, we have another but this is where we first found the issue.)

Thanks Ajeh!

Re: My Site or Paypal - Gift Certificates

Here is what my paypal mod is set to when active:

Do you accept paypal payments: true
email addie (checked to case, all is well)
selected only USD
payment zone (none)
pending notification: pending [1]
set order status: processing [2]
set refund order status: pending [1]
sort order of display: 0
continue button text: blank
page style: paypal
mode for paypal web services: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr

I've had this previously turned off but after having an issue with a credit card company today I'd like to go back to using paypal. Please, if anyone has ideas on what I need to do, please let me know.

Much thanks in advance!

Re: My Site or Paypal - Gift Certificates

Are you running Zen Cart v1.3.0.1?

Is this a clean install or an Upgrade?

If an upgrade, what version did you upgrade from?

Did you try uninstalling PayPal and reinstalling it?

Note: URLs on the web are better written all lower case as no one remembers the upper case letters ...

http://www.hortonstores.com/GameStore

And they will get lost and frustrated and packup their toys and go home ...
