DUAL Pricing v2

Just a bit confused here:dontgetit

Have been tracking this thread for some time hoping to use dual pricing and hidden wholesale functionality - hoping that QA'ed new releases would be posted in Free Software Add Ons.

I know that it is the generosity of community users that makes this possible but as a newbie sitting and waiting endlessly for promised functionality to be delivered after several 'missed' commitments, is unsatisfactory to say the least.

Have I missed something here? Any pointers gratefully received!

It fixes a few items:
Tested function in ZC 1.3.9 and compatibility with Hidden Wholesale. Fixed issue with displaying fields in admin. Adjusted to use Override system. Updates to ReadMe file for easier install.

I don't know if it fixes all the issues listed in this thread, but try it out and if you see any issues post them here.

how do i do the following:

1. display retail and wholesale price on the category listing page?
2. display retail and wholesale price on product info page?

right now i dont see wholesale price until you go to the shopping cart.

@keystonewebworks - The module should automatically show the Wholesale prices if logged in as a Wholesale user. If this is not working for you, then please check that you have completed Step 3 in ReadMe file:

3. Change to match the name of your template:
   \includes\modules\YOUR_TEMPLATE

I am kind of new to zen cart. I started using it at one point but stopped because I could not get any addons to work. I'm trying to give it another try and hope you can help me. I am trying to install Duel Pricing. I am using zen cart v1.3.9h and duel pricing v 1.8 that I got from the zen cart site. I followed the instructions and believe I installed it correctly. I changed the template names in modules and templates to my template name. and uploaded the "Admin" and "includes" folder to my foot directory. but it still shows up as "Group Pricing" and there is no additional price field to add wholesale prices to my products. hope someone can help and tell me what I'm doing wrong means I can never get mods to show up! haha. Thanks in advance.

I have got the mod to install and the stuff to show up. but now I am having a different problem. if I set up an item to have an sale price of say 99.99 and whole price of 80.00 and assign a customer wholesale pricing of 1. they still see the price of 99.99

Please check the following:

1. Have you renamed \includes\templates\YOUR_TEMPLATE?

2. Assign the price on the Product Edit page. Where you would normally enter the regular price, there is a new wholesale field just below. Do not use Group Pricing with this module.

3. Has the customer logged out and log back in after you upgrade their level? They must log in AFTER they are assigned Level 1 pricing.

The \includes\templates\YOUR_TEMPLATE folder looks like it uploaded properly (YOUR_TEMPLATE being the name of my template obviously.

I have assigned a retail price of 99.99 and a wholesale price of 80.00. created an account and gave it wholesale status to do some testing. when I go to the site not signed in it shows 99.99. when I sign in it says "Wholesale Price 99.99" and if I add it to the cart it shows up in the cart is 80.00. it looks like it's giving the wholesale user the wholesale price. but not til they add it to their cart

Which version of ZC and Dual Pricing are you using? edit: just noticed versions in your first post. I'll test and see if I can reproduce the problem on my end.

I have installed 1.8 on a stock 1.3.9 cart and it works fine. There must be a conflict between one of your other modules and/or some files not properly uploaded. Try re-uploading all files again. Try clearing your browser cache as well.

Does this latest version of the module fix the problem of passing the wholesale price to the the shopping cart, when the item has options/attributes?

Previous version would should the wholesale pricing in the product listing but not in the cart.

As far as I know, the module does not play nice with attributes.

HELP!!!!

I followed the instructions in post #687 and now I have no admin screen, just a blank screen!!!

I have checked my server logs and there are no errors reported.

Steps I took..

The tables referenced in the patches were already present so I skipped that..

I edited the files as indicated (backed up first) then uploaded.

Shop front end still appears to be working, but there is no admin screen, source code indicates nothing at all.

I restored the changed files from backup and still no admin page

Any idea how I proceed from this point to try and track down what is happening?

I fixed it, not entirely sure how or why, but I restored the entire cart from a full back up taken prior to adding this, then I restored includes and admin from the backup of those folders I did before changing anything and it is back to normal...

Anyway, besides that rather scary time there...

I realised that my version of dual pricing is the 1.8 not the 1.7c in the instructions, would this account for the issue or should the fix posted also fix the admin display etc ?

I am very wary of trying this again, my heart rate is still not quite back to normal as it is!

I got the prices to show, but now i cant add attributes. it just takes me to the main screen after i try to save the attributes i added.

How do i uninstall this mod?

it wont work with adding attributes and i need to remove it.

Tests on my end show the attribute screen works fine, no blank screen. There is a spot to enter wholesale value (in the 'trade' box)... the only thing that doesn't work is a wholesale 'base price' which then is added to the attributes.

If you are getting a blank screen, re-upload the module files and it should be fine. Probably an error with the FTP program did not fully upload the files.

If you want to uninstall the module, then run the uninstall.sql script in your admin tools, and replace the uploaded files with your original backups.

I've gone through and deleted and reinstalled one file at a time, attributes still don't work. I wonder if there's a conflict with dual pricing and another module. I'm going to copy my site to a dev server and rebuild it piece by piece and see where attributes stops working. I'll post my findings soon.

sounds tedious... instead try re-uploading /admin/includes/attributes_controller.php

Hopefully you keep a regular backup of your files... if not, try grabbing a fresh one from the Zen Cart official download (for your same ZC version of course).

If that doesn't work, please be specific about what "not working" means. More info helps to troubleshoot.
