I have installed the mod and it works fine when assigning the wholesale price levels on the product description page. How can I set different price levels for attributes? If a product is priced by attributes, there is no field for wholesale attribute prices.
Am I missing something? Please, help
Thanks

I had the same issue. Some of my products are supposed to cost less for the wholesale customers, so I used the lowest priced attribute in the main price or as the main price. Then you can subtract however much you want from that for the wholesale price. Next, you would set that attribute as an option that doesn't cost any extra if chosen.
EXAMPLE:
You are selling cards. The set is priced only by attributes.
10 cards = $10 (reg), $8 (wholesale)
20 cards = $15 (reg), $13 (wholesale)
But you want the cards to be cheaper for wholesale, so you set the base price of the cards as $10 for regular customers and $8 for wholesale customers. Then set up the attribute choices like so:
10 cards = +$0
20 cards = +$5 (that would make the total for 20 cards $15 for regular customers and $13 for wholesale customers).

When I installed the dual pricing module it wrote over public_html/admin/easypopulate.php and caused easy populate to malfunction. I am guessing that the dual pricing module is configured to work with easy populate, but I seem to have stumbled on a glitch. I uploaded the version of easypopulate.php provided by the seller (langer?) and it functioned again. Am I right that the dual pricing module is supposed to work with easy populate?

Yaaay! I found the fix for copying products with attributes. I tested and it works. It is at this thread...
http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35219
I did find that the line counts given for the codes was way off (for my file at least), so here is where I found the codes that you need to add the new lines of codes after...
"after line 1914 ish" I found at 3867
"after line 1943 ish" I found at 3925

Hello
Just looking at using this module but 2 questions:
can you have more than 1 wholesale group, so I want retail, wholesale 1, wholesale 2... wholesale 5 ? each with own prices?
is it possible to limit the account spend per wholesale group - not sure this is possible at all in this module, might see if the advanced orders modules can do this per customer...
thank you
Sarah

you are a saint.. haven't had the chance to test it out, but i will take your word that the fix works.. that will solve so many problems!!! thanks a million..
to SarahL.. I can only answer question 1 for you, so sorry for that.. With this mod you can specify up to 4 different pricing levels.. so retail, wholesale 1, 2, and 3 are good to go with this mod.. I am sure you could edit the code and add as many levels as you want, but that's WAY beyond my scope at this time... I am not 100 percent on quation 2, but since it's never been discussed I am pretty sure it can't happen without modification... hope that helps!

Thank you - the first question was pretty important and yes I though a quick copy/paste could resolve it

You're welcome! I had been searching for the answer for a long time now. Glad I came across it. I have been adding products like crazy to my store and it all is working fine.
How does one specifiy different wholesale prices? When I add a new product there is only one spot for a wholesale price.

still haven't had a chance to install.. will probably do that right now! so stoked it's working for you...
as far as the separate wholesale prices go. you add them in the same block either using a comma or a dash if my memory of the documentation serves me correctly.. then you simply give the users a different number.. 0 for retail and 1 2 or 3 for your wholesale levels and it should work fine...

i'm having a problem with understanding this mod. Can it do this...
If someone spends a minimum of $500 on the site, then their total order will receive 15% off. If they spend $800, then they will get 20% off
Totally Zenned
Hi all,
I have this mod installed and it works fine. I have just 2 wholesale prices: one for all US accounts; and one for everybody else.
The problem is that I have to tweak the accounts after they're set up. I have to go in and set the field to 1 for most accounts and 2 for US accounts before I set the account to Approved. But new customers don't see this explanation when they sign up. It's there; they just don't read it. :censored: And then they try to order and think they have and then get annoyed or confused when they find that the order didn't go through.
So what I need is for a bit of PHP code to be added to the account creation process so that it sets this field in admin automatically. The logic is...
If country is United States
THEN put 2 into theField
ELSE put 1 into theField
Anyone able to help with that? PHP and I don't see eye to eye yet.
TIA

Come anyone tell me which version of Dual Pricing works in 1.3.7?
Also if you have products in the store with discounts applied with Salemaker or Specials are the discounts automatically applied to the all Dual Pricing groups or can you have a Dual Pricing group ignore the Salemaker and Specials discounts given to retail customers?
Also what about coupons? Will all coupons work for both retail and Dual Price groups all the time or can you have a Dual Pricing group ignore coupon discounts?
I want to set up a wholesale price for my wholesale customers and I do not want them to have Salemaker, Specials or Coupon discounts with their purchases.
Thank you for your support,

I just looked at mine and it seems I am using the beta version. I will do a bit more inspecting to confirm which version I am using. I downloaded it here in the mods listing and it works perfectly fine.
Yes - when you use salemaker or create specials, the discount is applied to the wholesale price as well as the regular price. With salemaker, the exact deduction is applied to the wholesale price, so if you want $5 off, then $5 is taken off your regular price and wholesale price. But with the Special feature, if you change the regular price to something above or equal to the wholesale price, the wholesale price stays at what you set it.
Yes - coupons can be applied to the wholesale price of products. As far as I have seen from using the mod, you cannot opt to disallow a coupon from being used by wholesale customers.
It is possible that another member may know how to prevent your wholesale customers from reducing their prices further by using coupons, salemaker, and specials. Unfortunately through my experience, the mod does not recognize who is wholesale and who is not when it comes to these features.

This mod is to have more than one price available for customers based on which group they are in. The best part is that you can set the discount per item instead of an overall discount.
For example:
No group = Regular Prices
Group One = discount one
Group Two = discount two
etc.
The purpose of the mod was to have "regular prices" and wholesale prices" so you can allow others to sell your products wholesale and purchase them right from your store, rather than via invoice. I use this mod as a reward/incentive program of sorts. Customers purchase an annual membership to get discounts and free items from my store. It saves me so much time and effort because I can set the regular price for people who have not purchased a membership and a discounted or free price for customers who have.

I have a question that I hope y'all can answer - I don't want to install this mod becuase I'm not sure if it can do what I want it to do. Here's what I need: I have two broad product categories (patterns and yarn) For the patterns, when wholesale customers order between 1-30, the get 40% off retail. If the order 31+, they get 45% off retail. For yarn, if they order 1-50, they get 30% off retail. For 51+ they get 35% off retail. Can this mod set up that sort of pricing structure?

Dual pricing users - note!
The dual pricing mod (love it!) will require you to make another modification if you plan on bulk copying attributes from one product to another (ever). The information is here:
http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35219
(check post #9)
Hopefully, this modification will be done in a future release of the mod :)
