I just stumbled upon zencart looking for this exact feature. A great example I found is at https://www.netgrocer.com then click on the grocery tab. It is so slick and smooth and no need to refresh page.

Is this the kind of mod you are hoping to develop? I am first on your waiting list if it is!!

This is an example where you use too much ajax. It bacame like the programmer's showcase, not the shop itself. Try refreshing / bookmark the page.

I will correct that. This site 'tried' to imitate ajax technique, but it doesn't. instead it uses frames to make the site 'looks like' it doesn't need page refreshes. It is something we usually avoid.

If you guys are interested, let create an open source version of this.

I'm new to Zencart and have something I'm working on thats related, so creating the AJAX cart sidebox would also solve my current problem.

Anyone want go ahead and develop one?

Interesting that it doesn't seem to have been implemented on the site that's selling it! Either that or it's not working in my browser, but either way, not too encouraging.
