Newsletter turn off how

My client is not interested in a newsletter. How to take the link to the newsletter off in the checkout, sidebox unsubscribe and wherever else it might be.

Re: Newsletter turn off how

Admin > Configuration > Customer Details > Show Newsletter Checkbox (set to 0 to turn off the display of the checkbox on the create account page)

Admin > Configuration > E-Mail Options > Display "Newsletter Unsubscribe" Link? (set to false to remove the unsubscribe link in the information sidebox)

Re: Newsletter turn off how

bunyip:

Admin > Configuration > Customer Details > Show Newsletter Checkbox (set to 0 to turn off the display of the checkbox on the create account page)

Admin > Configuration > E-Mail Options > Display "Newsletter Unsubscribe" Link? (set to false to remove the unsubscribe link in the information sidebox)

And if that doesn't work?...
I have the Admin>config>custom details set to 0 but on the sign-in page, it still shows a newsletter option on the bottom. I'm using version 1.3.

Never mind. I was confusing the email format with the newsletter. I will change the text wording to not mention newsletter. So instead of a confusing heading like "Newsletter and Email Details" for those that are not using the newsletter function to "Email preference"

Re: Newsletter turn off how

But is there a way in the admin panel to hide the email preference radio buttons, without editing any of the files? I would rather not show this option at all!

Thanks!
