individual special prices

The Zen Cart features page lists:

Promotions, Sales and Discounts

* individual special prices

how do I go about doing that? I want to be able to sell products where there is a retail price and a salon price. However I only want the salon people to be able to access the reduced price. any ideas on how to go about doing this? retail is 10% higher than salon.

yes they do- but how do you apply all group discounts?

Install the Group Discounts in the Modules ... Order Totals ...

Create the Group Discounts in the Customers ... Group Pricing ...

Then assign the Group Discounts to your salon customers ...

I have a situation like the above, except that NOT all items are elligble for the discount, i.e. certain items need to be excluded. Is there a way to have different customer groups see different prices and still exclude certain items?

I thought I'd do it using coupons but I know the client I'm devloping this for isn't going to like that, so if there is a more elegant way that would be great!

At this time ... the group discounts are all or nothing ...

This could, however, be customized ... but it would take quite a bit of work to do so ...

I am lookin at setting up a cart for a client who has different pricing, per customer, per product. Due to this, group discounts won't work as the discount is not fixed amount or percentage.

Just reading through the threads and it appears as though at this time ZenCart cannot do what I need. I was just wondering if there are any thoughts for being able to setup individual pricing per customer anytime in the future?

My client would be happy to go with set pricing for the moment as they are in the early stages of their business, but they want the cart to be scaleable for the future.

ck out "group pricing (per item)" mod by Jeremiah Peterson... not sure what you want to do, but it worked beautifully for me.

I'm looking for a way to provide either a per-customer price for a product or a product that can only be seen by a selected customer or group of customers. Does anyone have any ideas?

I can't find a module that can do this and can't think of a 'creative' way of implimenting either standard group pricing or the group pricing (per item) module to achieve this.

my zencart is installed on a linux hosting and this is lovely, but as I don't have remote access to the server I have to apply the patch in my WIN environment (which doesn't have the Linux "patch" command of course) and then ftp the files up.

Is there any solution?

Can you maybe send me the patched files?:cool:

I'm so bad with Linux patches that I can't even understand what's in the patch file to apply changes manually:wacko:

You can try patch for windows. I think that you may run into other issues though. I tried this, but was getting an error from patch which may be related to the fact that the patch file was created on a linux/unix machine. I attempted to use unix2dos to remedy this and used the -binary switch with path for windows, but was still not able to get it to work on windows. I then tried it on a linux machine and ran into other issues that I think are related to the fact that the module/patch is for v 1.3.0 which has security flaws acccording to SANS. I am using v 1.3.7.
