Help! Couple of questions

I need some help on a couple of things,

1. On the Categories sidebox, when you click a link with several categories, is it possible to hide this since they also show on the main page?

2. How do I change the colours of the links on the sideboxes?

3. Is it possible to get some links from the Information sidebox to the Header Nav? e.g. Forum

4. How do you get the Site Map to update itself? I turned off/ uninstalled the Discount Coupons and Conditions of Use but they still show on the sitemap.

5. On the New Products/ All Products listing page, how do you show the product description instead of the weight etc?

6. I've seen that some people have a sidebox with login textbox, how do you do that?

Try to answer a few:

2. These colors are set in the style sheet. there are three colors: How they first appear, the color upon 'hover' and the color after 'visited'.

3. Check the EZ Pages

4. These settings are in the admin > config > in all and new listing find what you don't want and set to "0"

Thanks Kobra for all your help but unfortunately, they don't seem to work for me. I tried changing the font size but nothing happened.

What stylesheet am i supposed to use? Is it the classic or the template default stylesheet? Also, do you know how to change the border colour of the add to cart box?

Are you using the template override for your editing? I can post some links on how to do it if you need them.

Im not using template override since it was too late for me to go back when I learned about template override stuff. I would be grateful for the links on how to do them.

Zen Cart is built on a system called ‘overrides.’ When you have worked hard on customizing your site you do not want to lose all that work when a new version or cart update comes along. So, follow the guide for creating a custom template and it will ‘override’ the stock template after any updates.

So, all of the files you change should go in a special folder you create for your template. Something like /custom or /my_template. Your new custom template folder should only contain files that have actually been edited for your site. Copy the files from template_default, edit them, and make sure they are in the correct ’my_custom_template’ folder. ----OR----- Copy files you have already edited into the correct folders. Make sure you get the correct files into the correct folders.

The Wiki is a great place to start. However, since the forum experienced an emergency reload, many of links have not been updated. Be patient.

Your really never to late to use the temp. override... if you created a backup of all your files like you should have when you first installed just rename the current temp folder to your new temp name and change the temp_info.php file like it says in the FAQ's and then copy the original folder from your backup..
