Call to a member function on a non-object

I am getting this error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/wwwcool/public_html/includes/templates/paul/templates/tpl_links_default.php on line 33

I am getting this error on my links manager advanced page. I am currently using zen-cart 1.2.7.

OK I got rid of the error by adding my original tpl_default file, but now I have a double header:

How do I get rid of the second header without getting the same error?
