Re: Admin Profiles (for v1.3.x only!) Support Thread

I am running Zen Cart 1.3.0.1 with Database Patch Level: 1.3.0.1.

I have installed Admin Profiles Version: 1.0.4. and had it working fine until this morning.

Now when logged in as admin and I try to access anything it just logs me out & takes me back to the login page.

I have been through this forum and yes register globals if off.

Any ideas please?

Cheers
Claire

Re: Admin Profiles (for v1.3.x only!) Support Thread

reza:

hi
i tried to install admin profil for 1.3.6 on zen 1.3.6.
furtunately i did it firstly on my pc/localhost, and the results after copying and installin the patch, was that no more the administrator home page of admin area could be opened.
i got this message above the page in the green zone:
1146 Table 'zen136.zen136admin_menu_headers' doesn't exist
in:
[select id from zen136admin_menu_headers where header = 'Configuration']
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

can somebody tell me, where may I did a mistake, as I know the provider of this version probabely checked it already on zen1.3.6?!!!! I hope:blink:Reza

If you're still having problems, this is goiung to be about how you installed the patch. Can you tell me more about how you did this? E.g. through the Zen CArt patch facility or via an external tool. Did you add the database prefix yourself? What should it be?

ClaireHi Claire

This doesn't sound like an Admin Profiles problem. If it were, I would expect that you would get bumped to the access denied page rather than get logged out. This sounds more like your environment not properly holding onto session variables.

To test this I recommend the following
Insert the following lines> <?php echo 'cjsmiff - trace admin flag: ' . IS_ADMIN_FLAG . '<br />'; ?>

<?php echo 'cjsmiff - trace admin id: ' . $_SESSION['admin_id'] . '<br />'; ?>between lines 58 and 59 of admin/index.php and between 52 and 53 of admin/logon.php. Also comment out line 24 of admin/logoff.php. Then close your browser and start from fresh. What values does this give you as you go through the process of logging in and being bumped out?

Re: Admin Profiles (for v1.3.x only!) Support Thread

This certainly sounds like your adminID being reset. Admin Profiles doesn't do this, but it does show it up when it happens.

Puzzlingly this was a known problem in earlier versions of Zen Cart (when registers global is ON), but was fixed from 1.3.5 onwards.

If you're using up-to-date versions of the other mods, none of them should cause this to happen (I doubt whether older versions would either) and I've rechecked every refer to it in Admin Profiles in case I had some sloppy programming (unlikely, but wanted to be safe).

So no, obvious answer. Let's start tweaking at the threads instead ...

Do you have registers global ON or OFF (you can find out by going into Admin, selecting "version" from the menu top right and then searching on register_globals)?

Could you post lines 74-75 and 101-103 of admin.php?

Re: Admin Profiles (for v1.3.x only!) Support Thread

Hi

I did the esearch and register_globals was OFF for both values in the version screen.

As for the admin.php lines here they are:

74-75
$new_admin_id = zen_db_insert_id();
$admins_id = $new_admin_id;

101-106
case 'deleteconfirm':
$new_admin_id = zen_db_prepare_input($_GET['adminID']);
$db->Execute("delete from " . TABLE_ADMIN . " where admin_id = '" . (int)$new_admin_id . "'");

 zen_redirect(zen_href_link(FILENAME_ADMIN, 'page=' . $_GET['page']));
break;

Re: Admin Profiles (for v1.3.x only!) Support Thread

Will this mod allow you to give manufacturers their own access to put their own products in the store... but not allow them to go anywhere else in the store admin?

m8trixdg:

Hi

I did the research and register_globals was OFF for both values in the version screen.... and the admin.php lines looked fine too.

Something is odd in your setup but I suspect it's going to be difficult to root out. I like these types of challenges.

Towards the bottom of the Admin Profiles FAQ there are instructions for adding a bit of code that will show who Zen Cart thinks you're logged on as. If you make the two minor changes explained there, it will make it easier to see at what point Zen Cart is switching your user ID.

Once that's done, could you list out some specific actions that 1) result in you being logged out and 2) your admin ID changing.

Thanks

Re: Admin Profiles (for v1.3.x only!) Support Thread

Hi all,

this seems like a great contribution, and i can't wait to check it out, however after installing, i am getting the following error:

Warning: main(/includes/autoload_func.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in ....\admin\includes\application_top.php on line 147

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required '/includes/autoload_func.php' (include_path='.;c:\php4\pear') in ...\admin\includes\application_top.php on line 147

I checked to make sure the file is there, and it is. Any help resolving this issue is greatly appreciated.

I installed this on a test server with Zen-Cart version 1.3.7

Thanks in advance

Re: Admin Profiles (for v1.3.x only!) Support Thread

I very much doubt that this is anything to do with Admin Profiles as it doesn't go near either of those files.

What I suspect has happened is that in setting up your test server you have defined the DIR_FS_CATALOG constant in your admin/includes/configure.php file to be '/' instead of giving it the full path from the server's root to the store's root directory.

Re: Admin Profiles (for v1.3.x only!) Support Thread

Kuroi,

Thanks for the response. I was not having any issues with logging into admin prior to installing Admin Profiles, so therefore i assumed it was an issue with the installation, however I did have just a '/' in for define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', '/'); as you suspected. Unfortunately though, after changing it to ('DIR_FS_CATALOG', 'D:/IntetPub/wwwroot/wideformatoutlet.com/wfo/store/'); i am still receiving the same error. Test server is on a windows server.

Is my path not specified correctly? Any additional help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Admin Profiles (for v1.3.x only!) Support Thread

Been a long time since I used IIS, but I believe your path should start D:/Inetpub/ but I don't know whether it is case sensitive or not and if so what the correct combination of upper and lower case would be.

Re: Admin Profiles (for v1.3.x only!) Support Thread

Thanks Kuroi......guess i shouldn't have typed so hastily.....mispelled inetpub when adding it and didn't notice it on the error. Definitely nice having a fresh set of eyes checking it out for me. You have been a great help. can't wait to check it out now :D Thanks again and i look forward to trying out your contribution.

Re: Admin Profiles (for v1.3.x only!) Support Thread

I am testing my "restore" abilities... and cannot get the Admin Profiles. I backed up my database, installed new/clean 1.3.7 on my laptop, restored the database and ftp'ed all files from ISP (where I had the Admin Profiles installed).
I did not installed any mods on my new site (dual pricing, minimum order, ceon cc, admin profiles) thinking it will all come with restored database and all copied files (I kept the "local" config.php in admin/include and in /include). All is working with the exception of Admin Profiles. I run the sql, it did not give me an error. When that did not work I dumped the database and restore them again, but still no Admin Profiles. What is the proper procedure to do it?

*Sorry, your security clearance does not allow you to access this resource.

Sorry for any inconvenience.*

When I click on Image Handler in admin tools I receive this error after I installed Admin Profiles on a working test site. The site has the following mods installed:
Image Handler2, minimum order, dual pricing, ceon cc
I do not get the icon in admin tools to set Profiles either. I copied all the files into directories, did the box modifications as indicated.
Obviously I am doing something wrong, but cannot figure out what. This is my second attempt (on a different site). See my previous post.
