Main Page - Opens with Category

Hi folks!

I have a question. Is it possible to put the normal main page with the Main Page - Opens with Category ?

Because If I add the category to the main page my welcom text disappear ...

Do you have a solution for me ??

Unless you broke something in the template ...

Turning on the setting for:

Categories - Always Show on Main Page

And setting the category to 0 for:

Main Page - Opens with Category

Still shows the Welcome stuff ...

while we are on this subject, I am upgrading from 1.2.7 to 1.3.1 and on my main page if I have 'catagories- always show on main page' tuned on, then I get two listings of catagories on the page as well as the welcome message.
If I turn it off I get this error "Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required '' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home2/hotstuff/public_html/newzen/includes/templates/purpleshades/templates/tpl_index_default.php on line 40" When I look at that file line 40 is before the first <? .
I have also had other problems with the product listing page, do I need to give up on my template purpleshades working in this version? Is it my template that is causing these problems?

Yes, it is your template, but I believe that Jolly Jim has an upgraded version available.
