Track Package from FedEx, UPS, Postal, DHL, etc..

siliconbug:

ZC v1.5.8d
php v7.4
Bootstrap Template v3.7.8
Tracker Package v4.1.0

Just notice that my customers can't see the tracking ID after I add it in admin. Do I miss any setting?

From admin side:
Attachment 21050

From customer side:
Attachment 21051
OK, but on the admin side, how about a screenshot of the form/table used to enter a new status-history comment?

Are there any myDEBUG-adm-*.log files generated when you add a comment with a tracking id?

Re: Track Package from FedEx, UPS, Postal, DHL, etc..

No error logs, and I think I know what's missing.

After replacing /includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates/tpl_account_history_info_default.php with the version from the Bootstrap template, the tracking ID appears correctly, but the styling does not match the Bootstrap template's design.

Is it possible to fully integrate with the Bootstrap template?

It is, although it's going to be more difficult running zc158 with TyPT v4.1.0.

The current version of TyPT (which integrates with zc210 and later) makes use of a notification added in zc210 (https://github.com/zencart/zencart/pull/6783) so that no change to the template is needed.

I haven't looked at the v4.1.0 version of TyPT for over a year, but I'm guessing that its version of the template is based on either template_default or responsive_classic. I'll suggest that you restore the Bootstrap version of the template file and merge the changes in the TyPT-provided template.

Re: Track Package from FedEx, UPS, Postal, DHL, etc..

Thanks!

I compared tpl_account_history_info_default.php from both the Bootstrap template and TyPT v4.1.0, and added related codes to the Bootstrap template.
It works and no error logs so far. :P

Finally upgraded ZC 1.54 to ZC 2.1.0.
After upgrade install restful usps, sitemap xml, and image handler.
After installing ty package tracker.
I could not find the typackage link in configuration.

here is copy of the logs:

Re: Track Package from FedEx, UPS, Postal, DHL, etc..

I got a chance to work on a new zen cart 2.1.0 and upgraded database successfully. I installed the latest ty package tracker and cant seem to get to see the config menu correctly for setup. Odd seeing that it installed ok. Any advice on what i can do to fix this is appreciated.

A couple of questions:

Was a previous version of Ty Package Tracker installed?
Are there any myDEBUG-adm-*.log files present in the site's /logs directory?

That log has nothing to do with the package tracker. I'll hunt up v3.1.4a to see what differences could cause your issue.

I am ashamed to tell you i have 1400+ files in my logs since upgrade.
I see a lot of errors like these. I think this one may be the image handler i installed up top of other 2.1.0 plugins that i am use to using with 1.54 version.

No wonder multiple additional images in my listings aren't displaying correctly like this:
https://gelcandlecompany.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=41_109&products_id=2014
this would be on another thread

Thank you lat9 and everyone else for your advice and help.

I couldn't get the last version to work with my upgraded 2.1.0.
But this one worked like a charm.

Re: Track Package from FedEx, UPS, Postal, DHL, etc..

Help Please.
New install of zc 2.2.2 on php 8.3 and am trying to install typt 5.0.2. I added the includes files to includes, added admin files to admin. I have no idea what to do with the "installer" folder and manifest.php file so I added them inside the catalog folder since adding them outside shouldn't do anything. Nothing changes in the db, typt isn't added to any menu in the admin and now the orders details page breaks.

I feel like the problem comes from the installer and manifest.php not being in the right place, but I have no idea what to do with it.

Thank you,
John

Re: Track Package from FedEx, UPS, Postal, DHL, etc..

I forgot to mention that when uploading files to the admin I get a "failed to open stream" on the /admin/includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/lang.ty_package_tracker_admin_definitions.php file.

I dragged and dropped it from the local folder to the remote folder and it does upload, but the name gets changed to LANGTY~1.PHP (yes, all caps). When I open the lang.ty_package_tracker_admin_definitions.php file on my local in notepad++ the name of the file in the current tab is also changed to that all caps name.

I "rename" the file locally to copy and paste the name on the server and it changes to that all caps name. So I then first paste the name into a notepad and copy from there. Now the name on the server is named the correct name.

The admin>config>TYPT page is there now, but it's blank. The orders > details page is no longer broken, but there's nothing there to allow adding tracking to the order.

I tried adding a screen shot to this post. The pop-up dialog allows me to select my img.jpg from my local but nothing happens when I click upload.

Thank you,
John

Re: Track Package from FedEx, UPS, Postal, DHL, etc..

Looks like the image uploaded to zc forum after all. So I did find the documentation and learned how to use this new type of installer. There is some kinda problem with that filename though. I still had to do the drag and drop and then rename. But, in the end it all worked out and it's now working.

Thank you,
John

Re: Track Package from FedEx, UPS, Postal, DHL, etc..

The readme's *Installation *tab indicates that all that's needed is to copy the contents of the plugin's zc_plugins directory (i.e. the PackageTracker directory) to your site's zc_plugins directory.

I have no idea what process is going on to convert the lower-case names of the language files into that funky format.
