A few questions about the header

I'd like to change some things in my header, but I'm not sure how to do this.

  1. I'd like to add some links in the top menu (the one with 'Home' and 'Aanmelden/Inloggen'; I'm Dutch). Those links are links to EZ-pages I've made which currently appear in the horizontal menu below, so 'Algemene verkoopvoorwaarden', ' Zoekopdracht' and 'Contact'. I know I have to edit this in template/common/tpl_header.php, but I don't know the correct code nor do I know where to insert that code.

  2. I would also like to remove the grey categories that appear horizontally under the logo. Where can I edit this (tpl_header.php?) and which code do I have to remove?

  3. Behind 'Afrekenen' (Check-out) there is a strange >> that doesn't belong there. Where can I edit this?

I hope someone can help me!

Wendy

Re: A few questions about the header

  1. In that same file, study the way Zen Cart links are used. You should be able to figure it out. Zen Cart uses it's own functions to create the links dynamically. The structure of the links is HTML with PHP scripts inside. If you are familiar with basic HTML, you should be able to see how the links are being created. Tinker a bit - best way to get comfortable with the structure. SSL, NONSSL tells the ZC function to create the link with http (NONSSL) or https (SSL). Most of the time NONSSL is sufficient. Any links that require secure session you would define with SSL (ex. Login, Account Creation, Checkout). Zen Cart session id's will create automatically. :smile:

  2. Admin>Layout Settings>Categories-Tabs Menu ON/OFF - Turn OFF

  3. change

<?php echo HEADER_TITLE_CHECKOUT; ?>»</a>

to ```

<?php echo HEADER_TITLE_CHECKOUT; ?></a>
(removing the »)
