Category/SubCategory images not displaying

I'm trying to place simple Category header images for each category and subcategory. I upload them from the admin>categories/products page however, they just dont show up. I get a text link instead (creating two text links ontop of each other)

I've checked my settings in admin>configuration>images and everything looks good.

Is this a bug or am I missing something?

I've reviewed all the "category image" threads and have not found a solution.

Sounds like an ALT tag and a title ...

Have you an URL where this is happening?

Did you remember to make /images and all subdirectories 777

All images and image dirs are 777.

First ... why are you running your whole site secure? That will dog it down ...

Is it on the server?

Can you see it?

Can you load it in a browers?

If you see it ... delete it and reload it via FTP to the same location ...

Does it fix it?

Running the whole site secure because I figured our clients would freak if they didnt see that lock the entire time they were shopping (our products are pretty expensive).

Ok, now with the images.......very very strange. The image is certainly on the server, I followed your recommendation and deleted then re-upped the image. It didn't help and I've never seen this message before....The image “https://www.giventheability.com/store/images/platform_lifts.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors. So I tried loading the image locally and get the same error.

Obviosly this is an issue with the images, but very strange.

aha, I was saving these images in CMYK mode, due to some print work I was working on. This created the errors. All is good now.
