USPS Strange behavior

Here's what's happening with my USPS:

  • Estimate shipping comes up perfectly
  • On Step 1 of 3 at checkout, only the first two (Express and Priority) show, even though others are active and show in the estimator window.
  • Also on Step 1 of checkout, there is no button to proceed any further, or comments text area
  • If I only activate Express, then the text to enter comments about your order shows, but the box is still not there
  • I have flat rate shipping also, but this does not show
  • When I accidentally enetered an incorrect USPS password, it did show flat rate finally, but if course an error showed about USPS.

What I've done to troubleshoot so far:

  • Reuploaded original USPS.php file
  • Uninstalled all shipping mods, reinstalled only USPS.
  • Tried setting the USPS zone to US only, but then the Step 1 page comes up blank

Any help is appreciated (greatly -- this was supposed to go live a few days ago)!

Also, my server_info.php file is not working for some reason, but to the best of my knowledge this is ZenCart version 1.2.5

If you'd like to see the error in action, you can try it out here:

Re: USPS Strange behavior

Download the current full set of Zen Cart v1.3.0.1 ...

Backup your old files for:

/includes/modules/shipping/usps.php
/includes/languages/english/modules/shipping/usps.php

Uninstall USPS in the Admin AFTER you write down the username for USPS ...

Copy the files from the Zen Cart v1.3.0.1 for these two files to the server:
/includes/modules/shipping/usps.php
/includes/languages/english/modules/shipping/usps.php

Install USPS and configure it ...

USPS changed their code several times and you most likely have an old version in that ancient, buggy, security risk version of v.1.2.5 ...

That is a hint to upgrade to at least v1.2.7 ... if not v1.3.0.1 ...

Re: USPS Strange behavior

Thanks for your reply, Ajeh. I'm in process of upgrading to 1.3 as we speak, from the other posts I've seen this seems to be the best solution.

Now I just need to get all my pretty templates and designs incorporated into this version...
