Paypal or Zen Integration

Guys as i'm sure you can imagine i'm still pretty new to this zen cart milarky!! but i'm having some trouble with paypal.

paypal completes and lets zen cart know but zen cart seems not to be informing me or the customers of order confirmation (via email) and i am assuming beacuse this is not happening i cannot download the test product i have created.

Is your zencart admin email address the same as MAIN paypal.com email address? Having different ones has caused me to have problems in the past

If you see the:

PayPal website for payment
Customers ... Orders ... for the order itself ...

then the order completes ...

Sounds like an email issue ... and that the email of the order is not going to the customer or to the admin ...

What are your Email Settings ...

I have checked the paypal details thanks misty they all seem ok and match perfectly.

my email settings are below - the only thing i can think is that when you set up an email account in say outlook it has to be an allocated mail box name from the host i.e. m78-56789 do you think this may be the problem????

SMTP Email Mail Host auth.smtp.oneandone.co.uk
SMTP Email Mail Server Port 25

Perhaps someone who likes to break emails ... er ... configure emails ... can lend a hand ... fixing email issues has never been a high point for me ... :cry:

I am happy that I do not have conflicts with my email software and hosting site for easy configuration ...

I am not sure the cause of your problems off hand ... I just know that you appear to be getting a complete order from what you said ... and if you are and PayPal is also taking the money ... then that leaves just the email issue to solve ... :smile:

hey ok so i may of worked at least one part of the problem solved - my server needs smtpauth, but it says in the instrutions i need to configure something else within the admin menu - i assume its the email config menu but what else is there to configure??? thanks:unsure:

Ok its now sussed that bit now onto the reson why it does not seem to download the file, i'll post another thread tho -- theis thread is ended!!!
