Purchase without account... will it be included soon?

I remember some time ago that that someone said the checkout in future versions of zencart would include a option to purchase without account.

Has any progress been made on this yet? or are the founders having a much needed rest? or has anyone but together a contrib that allows 1.3.0.1 do this?

It'll come in a future release ... but there are a few things to be done before that :) It'll be a few releases yet.

I have a strong need of this feature and I am a quite adept developer as well, so if you have any notes or outlines regarding what needs to be done I would be happy to contribute.

I have a need for this or something similar. I have an office with telephone salespeople, and many times we need to place orders on behalf of our current customers. It would be wonderful if they were able to place these orders under the customer account, so that the customer may track orders, and so that we may be able to keep track of their total purchases.

I figured I could simply ask the customers for their email and password, and log in as them to complete orders, but there has to be an easier way.

Has anyone else encountered this problem, and if so how do you deal with it?:blink:

use master password

then just ask for email address.... thats what the first filter is for most web sites

I dont see why it would be such a project. CRE Loaded did it..
