is zencart right for me?

I already have my site completed, with a database for all my products and a some php to display the items. Pretty much everything but the shopping cart. Can I use zencart as just a shopping cart without the product management or "visualization" functions? Basically I take care of everything until the user presses the "add to cart" or "view cart" buttons, and zen-cart would (hopefully) take care of managing what is in the shopping cart and send the completed transaction to paypal. Zen-cart would have to be capable of decresing the quantity of the item in my database. If I can feed zen-cart some php script this would be easy.

If my question is unclear, I would be more than happy to elaborate...

any advise would be greatly apreciated,
Florian

The short answer? no. Zen Cart is designed to be a full service program not an "add to cart" button manager.
