Problem after fresh installation ion IIS6

Hi,
I've just installed the newest zen-cart version on a dedicated Windows-Server. I can log into the admin-account and do all the configuration, but I can't open the normal shop-address. This gives the following error-message:

Call to a member function get_template_part() on a non-object
(Line 29 in index.php)

Any idea?
For testing, this ist the URL:
http://shop.pferde-im-visier.de

At the moment, I didn't delete the zc_install Directory and both config-files are writable. So feel free to change some settings if you see an error.

Many thanks for your help!

Re: Problem after fresh installation ion IIS6

You could have either bad or corrupted files loaded ...

Try reloading the files from a good copy of Zen Cart v1.3.0.1 that you can get from here ...

See if that doesn't help ...

NOTE: save your files from the website for:
/includes/configure.php
/admin/includes/configure.php

so as not to overwrite the ones on the website ...

Re: Problem after fresh installation ion IIS6

Hi,

now, I've downloaded the newest version directly from your web-site (last time I loaded the german version from your austrian site), and made a completely new installation,- but the problem still exists. The same error-message as before. :(

Re: Problem after fresh installation ion IIS6

Thommy,

I suspect your configure.php files are the problem.
Can you post your /includes/configure.php file contents here, without the passwords?

Sure, here it comes:

<?php /** * * @package Configuration Settings * @copyright Copyright 2003-2006 Zen Cart Development Team * @copyright Portions Copyright 2003 osCommerce * @license <http://www.zen-cart.com/license/2_0.txt> GNU Public License V2.0 */ // Define the webserver and path parameters // HTTP_SERVER is your Main webserver: eg, <http://www.yourdomain.com> // HTTPS_SERVER is your Secure webserver: eg, <https://www.yourdomain.com> define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://shop.pferde-im-visier.de'); define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'http://shop.pferde-im-visier.de'); // Use secure webserver for checkout procedure? define('ENABLE_SSL', 'false'); // NOTE: be sure to leave the trailing '/' at the end of these lines if you make changes! // * DIR_WS_* = Webserver directories (virtual/URL) // these paths are relative to top of your webspace ... We recommend using the "cache" folder inside the Zen Cart folder // ie: /path/to/your/webspace/public_html/zen/cache -- leave no trailing slash define('SQL_CACHE_METHOD', 'database'); define('DIR_FS_SQL_CACHE', 'D:/cache'); ?>

Re: Problem after fresh installation ion IIS6

a few things I'd recommend updating:

change these lines:```php
define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', 'https://shop.pferde-im-visier.de/');
define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', 'D:\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\inetpub\\\\ \\\\\\\\\\\\piv-online/');
define('DIR_FS_SQL_CACHE', 'D:/cache');

to:```php
define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '/');
define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', 'D:/inetpub/piv-online/');
define('DIR_FS_SQL_CACHE', 'D:/cache');

Re: Problem after fresh installation ion IIS6

unfortunately this doesn't help.
I made the changes and when I now try to open the shop-url, I am redirected to the admin-URL. When I use the link "Online Catalog" in the admin-area, I get the following error-message:

Warning: require(DIR_WS_TEMPLATEStemplate_default/common/html_header.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in D:\Inetpub\piv-online\index.php on line 43

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'DIR_WS_TEMPLATEStemplate_default/common/html_header.php' (include_path='.;c:\program files\php5\includes') in D:\Inetpub\piv-online\index.php on line 43

Re: Problem after fresh installation ion IIS6

define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '/');
define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', 'D:/inetpub/piv-online/');
define('DIR_FS_SQL_CACHE', 'D:/cache');

change to:

define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '/');
define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', 'D:\\inetpub\\piv-online\\');
define('DIR_FS_SQL_CACHE', 'D:\\cache');

it usually takes two ' \ ' from the web under Microsoft Windows Server access (no matter which edition or build it might be). :wink2:

In the mean time, I have also found two other errors from your file's readings above.

If this line is set to a secured protocol (HTTPS):

define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', 'https://shop.pferde-im-visier.de/');

then, I assume this one should also be set under SSL as well:

define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'https://shop.pferde-im-visier.de');

:thumbsup:

As for this one:

Warning: require(DIR_WS_TEMPLATEStemplate_default/common/html_header.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in D:\Inetpub\piv-online\index.php on line 43

There's a missing front-slash according to this error message.

If you change:

define('DIR_WS_INCLUDES', 'includes/');

into:

define('DIR_WS_INCLUDES', '/includes/');

(as a test only) - will the error message appear again ?
