Error message when trying to log in to Admin: No input file specified

Hi, I am trying to set up a shopping cart for my website. I can never log in to my admin. I don't even know how to setup a username and password. I could not create a database on my server, but I think by default one is already set up. I am starting from zero here, so I don't even know if I am doing this right. Is there something in my configure.php I can post so somebody could get me on the right track?

Much appreciated,
Marv

Re: Error message when trying to log in to Admin: No input file specified

HI Zt,

Can you provide some more specific information about your server setup and what software you are using (besides zencart) to talk to Msql?

Are you using Phpmyadmin for example?

I can certainly try and point you in the right direction if you can give more info...

cheers

Re: Error message when trying to log in to Admin: No input file specified

Yes, it is in fact PhpMyAdmin! As far as the setup goes, I haven't a clue aside from installing zencart on the ftp server on the webhost. I'm not well versed in all this code and the lingo and such, but I can definitely worm my way through trial and error. All I want to do is set up a shopping page for my site bonneauwine.com. We're talking less than 7 products, and they're all just wine! Maybe I need to speak to someone from the webhost company, but I imagine it is probably something very simple.

Re: Error message when trying to log in to Admin: No input file specified

Zcart,

I assumed by where you posted your querey that you were trying to install on YOUR osx server. No matter.

I checked at http://www.bonneauwine.com/zencart/

looks like a partial install.

You might want to delete and start over.

You can use the same database, but you have to drop the tables. So using phpmyadmin:
select the database
select all of the tables
click on the drop button
say yes again
delete the zencart folder on your host
run the install program again

if you get any kind of errors write them down and repost..

cheers

Re: Error message when trying to log in to Admin: No input file specified

Why thank you. I really appreciate your help syn, I have been banging my head against the wall (not literally) the entire week trying to figure this thing out. I figured a fresh install would do me good.

Thanks again,
Zcart
