Template does not load !!!

Hello,

I have just installed zen cart version 1.25 on Linux server.

The installation went well but I cannot see any template in the frontend part of the shop (the admin area is working well).

It looks like the page is not formatted, it is all plain text, exept for the images of the banners (the zen cart logo is not there).

I set up CHMOD to 777 for the folders specified in the installation manual, the other folder are to 775 by default on my server.

If you wish to have a look this is the address:
http://www.situationwear.it/catalogo/index.php

thanks

Re: Template does not load !!!

Why would you be installing Zen Cart v1.2.5? The current version is v1.3.0.1

Re: Template does not load !!!

That old version is really buggy and has many security issues ...

It might be worth while to create your own language files ...

You could use the start of the language files in v1.2.5 to help give you an idea of how this is done ...

Perhaps someone has a more up to date language pack for italian ...

Re: Template does not load !!!

It's having trouble loading your stylesheet.
That may be the result of a permissions problem, or maybe a conflict with your hosting server and your /includes/.htaccess file. Try renaming that file TEMPORARILY. If renaming it lets your stylesheet appear, then work with your hosting company to find a way to offer the same security protection without using the .htaccess.

Re: Template does not load !!!

Or you may be using a template designed for another version of Zencart. May seem obvious but strangely nobody ever mentions this LOL

Re: Template does not load !!!

A template made for another version does not result in the white site with no layout at all ...

I have just renamed the .htaccess file in the directory /includes and everything works fine.

I will try to contact my hosting company, but what kind of problem can I encounter if I leave it like this?

Note that at the moment I am not going to use the web site for online transictions but only as a catalog and a newsletter.

thanks
