Which newsletter script can be integrated with ZC?

Hi all,

I saw one website that had a very interesting newsletter script running... it would automatically mail a PDF to all new subscribers. The website itself used ZenCart but I'm not sure if the newsletter script was from ZC. Anyone know for sure?

Zen Cart does not have a built-in PDF feature.
You can compose rich-text(HTML) or text-only emails to be sent out by the newsletter manager in the admin area.

hi DrByte,

What I'm looking for is not a PDF export/import but a way to have automatic reply set up. When people sign up, I want to setup an autoresponder that will automatically send them a PDF file (or whatever file, zip etc). This will be done only when they sign up for the newsletter.

How do I accomplish something like that?

You would need to modify the code in includes/modules/create_account/header_php.php to detect the fact that the newsletter had been selected, and then tell it to mail out a specific newsletter to them, and brush off your PHP books to write the code to attach the PDF to the email.
