Froogle Merchant Center merged into GoogleBase

Crzipilot:

When I look at the file, all it has is just the header, bascially the names of the attributes....but no actual products... Any ideas?
Update product feed again and copy contents of the pop-up window to this thread, obfuscating any private info you may not want to share.

And right after running the update check (via FTP) to ensure the feed file datetime stamp shows the time the feed was generated.

Feed file - /kunden/homepages/11/d93880114/htdocs/feed/froogle.txt
Processing: Feed - Yes, Upload - No
Froogle File Complete In 2.118334 Seconds 2373 Records

Looks good.

Right after running the update check login via FTP and check the feed file datetime stamp to ensure it shows the time the feed was generated.

Or are you viewing via the "view" link at Tools > Google Froogle feeder
--> (NOTE: You may view your product feed file before proceeding to step 2.)

or opening and viewing directly in a text editor?

Is it possible the feed file you are opening is contained within your shop (catalog) directory and not the feed file in the path displayed above?

Before troubleshooting want to ensure there are not two different froogle.txt files on your system.

Which Product Type are your products?

Re: Froogle Merchant Center merged into GoogleBase

Product type is general

checked FTP and the froogle.txt is same date/time as when the feed was generated. View the file, both via txt editor through FTP and the link before step two. It shows the same. Just the headers...no products.

Didn't change any of the config from what the install had them as. Output file is the same froogle.txt. and the directory, is Feed. Only one froogle.txt located anywhere on the system, and it's in a subdirectory off the root/main of the store. Same level as admin and includes, etc etc...

Re: Froogle Merchant Center merged into GoogleBase

Woodymon:

Four questions above:

#1. What are the error messages you observe when FTPing to Google.

#2: Latest version of googlefroogle mod by andrew is 1.3.3.3 and it is in the ZC Downloads area.

#3 Manufacturer field is deprecated and not supported by Froogle (GoogleBase) any longer. Condition will be required very soon. You should upgrade to the newest GoogleFroogle version. More info in this thread.

#4. kbalona was referring to a config setting in his FTP program which he used to upload the new version of GoogleFroogle mod files to his server. Generally you want to configure your FTP program to ask you to overwrite files, before proceeding with uploading/overwriting an existing file of the same name, that is unless you like to live dangerously. (this setting is usually enabled by default... look in your FTP program help file)

Woody

I think I had TWO problems, and I've solved them now...

One was that my website was set up as "vtstuff.com" in the configure.php files, but I had set up Froogle DB as "www.vtstuff.com". I added "vtstuff.com" and the files showed up there.

I also was not waiting long enough for Froogle to "update" with the file.

Thanks for your reply though!

Re: Froogle Merchant Center merged into GoogleBase

I am also having problem since upgrading to 1.3.3 Nothing shows up in the froogle.txt file after the file generation process is completed. I also do not have any error message in the log. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Well, I rebooted the server and now everything works.

Re: Froogle Merchant Center merged into GoogleBase

I guess I shouldn't have upgraded because we are back to the same memory issue I had in the past with this mod. Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1026868 bytes) in /var/www/html/googlefroogle.php on line 191. No matter how much memory I set, it's not enough. Help please!

Re: Froogle Merchant Center merged into GoogleBase

I am having an issue with my uploaded feed to Google base. Google base only seems to be uploading 206 items successfully, not the 31,234 listed in the feed from my sites feed generator.

Re: Froogle Merchant Center merged into GoogleBase

ctcentralinfo if you look on your googlebase account uploads page it will list the current items as well as the non current or not published items or error items, does it have any errors against them? As if it is on your upload file it must be an issue with google and columns are not matching googles new format. I had an error and it was saying it was 'Too few Tabs' when it was the shipping attribute was not set to right format as listed in attributes!

It says 206 items active (0) items inactive. I see no errors listed.

Re: Froogle Merchant Center merged into GoogleBase

If you are uploading your file via this mod, and you are only getting 206 records showing try uploading the froogle.txt file manually via goolges upload page and see if that makes a difference, as it may be something timing out after x many records? Other than that check your file for errors in the attributes.

The problem is not with the uploading, it's the fact that googlefroogle.php is timing out when generating the froogle.txt file.

Re: Froogle Merchant Center merged into GoogleBase

^^^ It would be cool I could figure out what is causing this issue. It's not because
of the feed not generating the right fields or else their would be some error messages. I am also having the same issue with my other site, and I don't even have allot of inventory on it.

Re: Froogle Merchant Center merged into GoogleBase

Hi All,

Quick question before my eye's close up totaly, Has anyone had a problem in that only a certain amount of products get generated and not the whole lot.

Only creates 1,444 out of approx 7,000 products (File size is exactly 1mb also... Hmmm strange)

After reading a lot of threads, it looks like it may be a timeout issue but I cannot find a fix !

Details here of file creation:
Froogle Data Feeder v.1.3.3 07.02.2007 20:45 started 2007/02/28 22:49:51
Feed file - /xxxxx/local/home/xxxx/boardgameclub.co.uk/feed/xxxxxxxtxt
Processing: Feed - Yes, Upload - No

Any ideas welcome and thanks in advance.

Chris

Re: Froogle Merchant Center merged into GoogleBase

I am confused. My eyes hurt after so much reading and my brain hgas gone to sleep. Please - can someone tell me which file to download to get my site into Froogle? Also, where can I get it. Some threads say the files in the downloads section are not up to date, some say use a file called Googlefroogle and others say use Googlebase?

So which is it? Where is it? How do I get it?

Thanks
