orders page not showing orders

Hey guys, newbie here. Please be patient. I just set up a store and was making a couple of passes to make sure all was working ok. So far i have made 5 "purchases" but nothing is showing up on my orders page. Under customers it shows that 5 orders have been made, just nothing on the actual orders page. I've been through all the setting in my admin, but to no avail. Any Help?:dontgetit

What payment and shipping methods are you using?

for payment i have the check/money order option installed, and for shipping i have in store pickup installed.

Check and see if on the orders.php in the Admin if you type in the orders_id if the order shows ...

If so, then check the Modules ... Order Totals ...

Is the Total (define_checkout_success.php) installed and turned on?

I'm having this same problem, and in the "My Account" section for the customer there is the following error:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /public_html/shop/includes/templates/template_default/templates/tpl_account_default.php on line 37

nevermind, started working on its own.

Hi,

I opened my shop and got my first order. The customer paid for two downloads through PayPal. Yes, the links are correct. He never got the download links, I can't see what he bought and neither got an order confirmation. No stock quantities have been changed. I got an email from PayPal about the payment. The order total is installed and on.
When I test with the Free Payment module, everything works OK. I buy free downloads, get the links and the order confirmations.
Is there a setting somewhere I'm missing out?

I made a test purchase after taking away the PayPal account optional. I got redirected but there was no download link, and no trace of purchase on the admin panel.

...after that I chmoded the ipn_main_handler and the other paypal file to 755. PayPal was back up again, but no change in function.

........after that I uninstalled the paypal module, uploaded fresh files and installed, and tested. No change. Money disappears but customer gets nothing, and no orders show up in admin.
I've read through another long thread and gone through Merlin's tutorial. Nothing they suggest has improved my situation.
The only thing I know is that port 80 is open and port 443 is unavailable.
My shop is in a subfolder.

Time to go to sleep.

I really hope no one buys anything from me before this one is fixed.

I solved this myself.
I wondered why the last three options of the PayPal install don't show up. The debug and test alternatives.
I went looking for them in admin/tools/developer's tool kit.
I found the rows of code in paypal.php and changed the mail to Yes and put in my email address.
Then I bought the test item for around the 20th time, and voila, I got emails, just one row per email. One of them stated that port 80 is closed. Now this is funny, the ISP said it's open!
Ok, they admitted it was open only inbound, so they opened it outbound too. Now the payment works. Finally.

On occaision ... you will find that your hosting site is ... umm ... er ... wrong ... er ... mistaken ... :eek:

Sometimes you really have to push a bit ... but they will eventually see the light ... :cool:

I think I have a similar problem to what you experienced. Except I have no idea how to manipulate the PHP file to get the debug and test functions to work. can you enlighten me? :D
