Sales Tax on Gift Certificates

Does anyone know why sales tax (just from orders in my home state) would still be getting charged on gift certificates even though the tax class is marked as --none-- in the Order Totals Module under Gift Certificates?

do your gift certificates have a "product model number" that starts with "GIFT" ? If not, they will likely be treated as taxable just like any other taxable product.

I have the same problem. Tax is being charged on Gift Certificates.

Model is GIFT-10
Setup the gift certiricates the same way as described in zen FAQ.

Anything else to check?
