zencart version 1.26

i have been using zen cart now for nearly a year. I have pr 3, but none of my pages except for the main page has PR. I have a gazillion hits from google and yahoo and other saying they are botting me. What the heck am I doing wrong?? Do i need that seo mod to make this work. If Not I must find a new shopping cart that is SEO FRIENDLY ASAP!

take a look at the PR of zen-cart.coms internal pages.....

The indexing is there.....
have you run site:yoursite.com through google and yahoo to see how many pages are indexed.

My live site has not upgraded from 1.26 yet. Still working on 1.3+.

I have paid ads on Google, Yahoo and MSN. PR of home page = 3. All 3 bots show up at least once a week, sometimes once a day.

Frustrated by the way Google handles ZenCart and Merlin's suggestion is a good way to illustrate the 'conflict' between Google and ZenCart.

Pages indexed in Google = 1
Pages indexed in Yahoo = 54
Pages indexed in MSN = 315

I have a rather unique product that has #1 ranking in all 3 search engines. MSN and Yahoo give the url for the product page while Google give the url for the home page.

I am hoping one of the SEO/SEFU contribs will make this better in 1.3+.
