Potentially quite embarrassing... Auto-Email

Fortunately I caught this faux pa prior to promoting our site. Early on in the site creation process, I must have been messing around with the email auto-reply because now when information is requested via the "Contact Us" page the customer is automatically sent an email that says in the subject line:

Eat me and the horse I rode in on!!

And while obviously there are customers to whom I'd like to send this message, it's probably best if I didn't.

Any idea where I go to turn this off?

The contact us page address is http://www.beadedlily.com/shop/index.php?main_page=contact_us, if that's of any assistance.

Thanks!

kelvyn:

You want to whip up business rather than stirrup any trouble and saddle yourself with a lawsuit. If canter think of another way to find it.

I hope that answers your equestrian.

:D now I understand why you picked a clown avatar...

Zen Cart does not have any autoresponders built in. You might want to look in your control panel's email options.

Believe me, I've looked and looked. Any suggestions on a specific location to check? When this began I assumed it would be an easy fix; check a box somewhere. Now I'm starting to get nervous!

It's definitely originating in the Admin because the reponses are from [email protected] and that's the only place I've used that nickname.

One more time - slowly - Zen Cart doesn't have any autoresponders.

In your Host's Email system you have set up something. Sorry I cannot be more specific as there are lots of different packages they could be using.

Jesus you're condescending.

Yes, I realize that Zen cart has no autoresponders. However, despite that fact, I have an AUTO-response telling my customers to eat not just me, but my horse as well.

Please take a deep breath and read the rest of my response.

You need to be looking in your host's control panel for email stuff - somewhere in your domain email you have turned on the auto responder.

UPDATE
While I don't have a fix, I do have a way around this glitch. Once I removed the "[email protected]" and replaced it with another email address, the horse message stopped.
Strangely, when I put ShopKeeper back, the horse returns. It's a mystery, just not a good one.

Re: Potentially quite embarrassing... Auto-Email

LOL Kim, when you're right, you're right! I did indeed find that I had added an "...eat my horse" message into my host's email autoresponder.
Apologies all around (Although I still think your response was a tad bit condescending)

Thanks for your assistance. It really is appreciated.
