Can customer add comments to the order too?

I am setting up my new site with ZC 1.3. I am AMAZED at the power of this program and the help from the forum. I'm making great progress, and hope to be running in a week or so.
Here's my question. I run a custom printing business, and I communicate quite a bit with the customer during the order process. I prepare a proof for them to view online, they email me with changes, comments, etc.
I'm delighted that with ZC I have the ability to change order status and send comments to customers. This is critical.

Now here is my question... Would there be a way for customers to ALSO send comments and have them append to their order history? Right now, when they send emails it is sometimes hard to match up the emails with the order. And I would really like for them to respond to their proofs by sending me comments that tack on to the order, just like the comments I tack onto theirs.

Is this feasible? Would this require a new contribution? Has anyone done it?

This is a VERY important consideration for me. I hope someone will take a moment to let me know what the possibilities are.

What you are asking for is perfectly possible. It should be possible within the current customer accout secction, which lists a customers orders for them, to add a send comment field. We do not have any plans to add anything like that to core code, so unless you can code yourself you will need to find someone to wite the code for you,

I would find this extremely useful as well :D
