Re: how to edit the site map

What sort of links are you referring to?
What version of Zen Cart are you using?
What's your URL?

Re: how to edit the site map

You can turn off pages 2, 3 and 4 in:

admin -> configuration -> define page status and setting them to 3

The specials and review I'm not sure about.

Re: how to edit the site map

To turn off the Page 2, 3, 4, Go to Admin->Configuration->Define Page Status, and set the switches for those to '3' (ya, I know, 0 might be more intuitive....)

To remove the Reviews link, you'll have to manually edit the template:
includes/templates/YOURTEMPLATE/templates/tpl_site_map_default.php
around line 46, remove this line:```html
<li><?php echo '<a href="' . zen_href_link(FILENAME_REVIEWS) . '">' . PAGE_REVIEWS . '</a>'; ?></li>

Re: how to edit the site map

I'm trying to add pages to the site map and have editied that page (tpl_sitemap_default.php) both creating the direct links as privacy and contacts are done (no joy) Then went back as I have all my added pages configured to be turned on or off in the admin - so I re-did the site map using that format for my links... still nothing... I have my file in the over ride and have even tried adding my links to the english define for site map.... I still can't get the links on - I have 1.3.1. Is there any other file that is controlling this?

Re: how to edit the site map

A follow up note - Our Privacy and Conditions Doc is combined so I'm also trying to remove Conditions from the list - No editing that I do to the template file does a thing. I'm really stumped on this. Just to be sure, I replaced all files with clean files from 1.3.1 full file set and tried again... No joy. I'm am just stumped here. Has anyone else had this problem? Or am I all alone out here...lol

Re: how to edit the site map

Here's the code from my tpl_sitemap_default.php - it is sitting in the following directory - templates/my_custom_template/templates - Note I've removed "Conditions" and added three new links after "Contact_Us" - However, Conditions is still showing and none of the other links are added.

<div id="siteMapList"><?php echo $zen_SiteMapTree->buildTree(); ?> <ul> <?php if (SHOW_ACCOUNT_LINKS_ON_SITE_MAP=='Yes') { ?> <li><?php echo '<a href="' . zen_href_link(FILENAME_ACCOUNT, '', 'SSL') . Re: how to edit the site map

Well I was hoping that you would be correct. But no one seem to have a clue why this is not working (at least they aren't responding if they do)

I may just pull out the site map builit into 1.31 and try insstalling the original contribution written for the older versions. I'm sure I'll have to modifiy it to make it work, but I know that I can edit that one.

I'm really surprised no one took a look at this. It's really huring the site when its indexed as I have many extra pages that are not being hit, even with the side links.

Any way, thanks for your reply (at least I know someone heard me...lol) and have a good day.

Re: how to edit the site map

DrByte:

... manually edit the template:
includes/templates/YOURTEMPLATE/templates/tpl_site_map_default.php

What if you don't have the templates folder inside YOURTEMPLATE? I have one in templates_default. So should I copy it over? Is it going to be a problem if I don't copy it over and edit the one in the template_default if I use a custom template?

Re: how to edit the site map

Any time you customize a file it should be saved as an override, instead of changing the master template_default version.

You can find several FAQ articles on editing templates, using overrides, etc in the FAQ/Tutorials area:
