Show product description on main-page?

The Centerbox for the New Products is different than the New Products page ...

In the module:
/includes/modules/new_products.php

you would copy to your templates and overrides directory ...

Then you need to customize the code ...

I have done all that and it still dosnt show the descriptions, i am also trying to edit the file so that the main page shows the define_main_page, it seems that this coding is "unedit" friendly.

I am not sure what to tell you on why this would not work, as it works perfectly fine for me ... :unsure:

What happens if you switch to the Classic Template ... and put this code into a clean copy of:
new_products.php

and load it to:
/includes/modules/classic/new_products.php

I was trying to get the Main_Page_Defined to come up on the main page. However ever with help from some of the other members it seems as the Template is very heavy modified and seems like it is very very hard to edit.

Maybe that is why they want to charge me $50 to edit the template.....

Sounds like you have an error on the:
new_products.php

so the page cannot complete ...

If you look in your /cache directory you should see the debug logs and if you open and read the errors it will help with the problem ...

Check your code in the:
/includes/modules/your_template_dir/new_products.php

Hello, I just installed the modern zentemplate and I am trying to figure out how to enable or install additional menu (Product Description,Features,Specification,FAQ,Reviews)under the product info as seen in this example.

Editing define_main_page.php, either in Define Pages Editor or in a text editor on your computer, will work if your template hasn't been customized to disable the function. We can't even begin to guess where your problem is without seeing your site live.

Hello, in admin page_define seems to be not working correctly.

What I am trying to somehow enable the welcome text on my main page right below the flash that can be seen in the demo http://phuong.ridevelopement.com/ri-0007/

Look in tpl_index_default.php and see if the $define_page section of code is there.

Here is the entire contect of the file. It says on the top to define the page content. however I am nt sure where since I am fairly new to this.

The code is just as it should be, which means that you have some setting wrong, or you are not getting edits to the right place for some reason.

Which folder path is that file in?

The file is located in :

I believe so. I do notice if you go to my savedirectnow.com domain name and do right mouse click and select "view Source" you can see that the actual code is not the same.

The PHP code will not show in view source, only the HTML that it generates. Something is telling the code to not display the define page content.

Oh I see. I think that you are right. Something I am not editing correctly. Even though If I put my flash code into this file it works just fine. So yes, this tpl_index_default is the nain controlling file.
I do notice that my generated html code that we can see from view source does not show the text around line 188. where on that demo store site it does. It is almost as if I am not making edits on the right file.
