Paypal won't complete!!!

Hi,

I'm having trouble with accepting paypal payments - my shopping cart is diverting to this page:

http://www.shaggydogcrafts.com/ipn_test.php

which the browser tells me "cannot be found"

The settings for paypal are identical to the settings I have had working previously in my other website - so I'm positive this isn't the issue.

I haven't set up paypal IPN.

Any suggestions welcome as I have customers trying to purchase!

Ok - I've re-read the docs for the upgrade I installed and have now set up Paypal IPN.

The problem remains. Any ideas?

:thumbsup: Strangely I have solved this problem:

Without changing any settings, I uninstalled the module and re-installed it. For some reason this seems to have done the trick.

Hope this helps someone else.

Often times ... on an upgrade there are changes that need to be reset for the Payment, Shipping and Order Total Modules that would require a remove/install to reset them ...

Hi,

I can now accept paypal payments - but my website isn't registering the sale! I'm simply getting paypal notifications. No email notification from my website and no order logged either. Free purchases are registering as normal.

I have set up automatic redirect with Paypal - Orders are set to "Processing"

Test purchases are working as expected. Is this a bad admin setting?

make sure that the email address that you are using in paypal module is the same as in https://www.paypal.com profiles email settings Marked with Primary

also make sure that its case sensitive

I've checked; my primary email address is the one being used. :dontgetit

No, on all counts:

The problem now is that although the paypal payment goes through ok, the site simply doesn't seem to notice that a sale has registered!

On a recent test I was brought back to my website where it confirmed my order number was 55 (that was the last purchase I made as that customer) The website accepted payment but didn't notice the up to date order numbers etc

I have a test paypal account if it might help you to view it but would prefer to PM the details!

:clap: I have fixed this problem:

I did two things so can't be sure which one worked!

First, I renamed this file:

includes/languages/english/YOURTEMPLATE/meta_tags.php to includes/languages/english/YOURTEMPLATE/meta_tags.php.bak

Then I took a fresh download of the 1.3.1 upgrade and re-uploaded ipn_main_handler.php

I can't take credit for these solutions so anyone reading this might want to read this entry which is where I got the answer from:
