h1 color - can't find in stylesheet

Will someone direct me where to set the color for h1. Currently, it is set to a grey color. stylesheet.css sets the size for h1, but not the color. I am using my custom template copied from the default.

Thanks,
Dustin

Re: h1 color - can't find in stylesheet

If you haven't explicitly set the color for you h1 titles then it will inherit it from the general text color for the site.

If you want it to be different, just set it to whatever you want it to be, e.g.> h1 {color: green}

Re: h1 color - can't find in stylesheet

kuroi,
Thanks for the help. I'm trying to change the color of the product name that is just to the left of the product image on the product page. Either it is not h1-h6 or it's color is set to grey somewhere else. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Dustin

Re: h1 color - can't find in stylesheet

Without seeing your site, it's difficult to be sure, especially since there are several types of product page. However, if it's the page that shows just one product and you're referring to the title to the right of image, then this is the HTML code generated for it> <!--bof Product Name-->

<h1 id="productName" class="productGeneral">Hewlett Packard - by attributes SALE</h1> <!--eof Product Name-->Ignoring the comments, this says that there is a class "productGeneral" which if set would be more specific than the h1 tag and so would override it.

There is also an ID "productName" which would be condiered even more specific and so could also override anything set in the h1 tag for this specific title.

Re: h1 color - can't find in stylesheet

Thank you for your help. I never was able to find where the color was set, but I fixed it by setting productName: black in stylesheet. This may have been set somewhere else because setting productGeneral: black did not change the color.

Here is the page:

Re: h1 color - can't find in stylesheet

As background, productGeneral is not defined elsewhere and should have done the job, but as it is a class you would have had to have preceeded it with a "." ie. > .productGeneral {color:black}rather than the # which worked for you when you styled the ID productName.

That said, it is better (as you have done) to style the specific item that you were targeting and what you did is working as wanted, so that's great.
