Manufacturer Sale

Is it possible to create a sale on all products by a manufacturer?

My sale maker gives me an all product sale option and category sale option, but not by manufacturer... how can I do this?

Re: Manufacturer Sale

Add all products for a Manufacturer to a new Category called that Manufacturer's name ...

Add all of the Products as Linked Products to the Category ...

Make this the master_categories_id for the Products ...

Now put it on Sale with Sale Maker ...

The Products will use this setting for all of their display prices ...

Re: Manufacturer Sale

I did this and it worked, but is there a way for the manufacturer name category not to be visible?

Re: Manufacturer Sale

Make a Category called HIDDEN ...

Set the Category HIDDEN to categories_status = 0 or OFF

Move all the Manufactuer Categories into HIDDEN

Now they do not show from the Cat box ...

Re: Manufacturer Sale

The Products must have their master_categories_id set to the categories_id that is on Sale ...

Re: Manufacturer Sale

Edit one of the Products ...

If it is a Linked Product, then you see a dropdown where it says which categories_id is set to be the master_categories_id

Re: Manufacturer Sale

I am doubting that is an issue here ...

But in checking, just edit the product and see if it is marked:
Priced by Attribute YES

What are the settings that you are using on the Sale?

Is the Sale Active?

Re: Manufacturer Sale

And you have marked a category for this?

And those Products in the marked Category are using that categories_id as their master_categories_id

Re: Manufacturer Sale

You are most welcome ...

Glad you have a better understanding of the master_categories_id and the relationship to product price for working with things like the Sale Maker Discounts ...
