Froogle Feed - Anyone have a working contib?

Im using Google Froogle Feeder from A_br???? (something)

it was working fine untill the merg to googlebase. now i have all kinds of errors, i tried to find another topic that had been started with this contrib, but i didnt find one. i looked through some threads, and didnt see that anyone had a "fixxed" froogle feeder (at least all the links to them where dead)

so does anyone have a working froogle feeder, or an update to this one.

GOOGLE FROOGLE FEEDER ""Froogle Data Feeder"""

Thanks much..

AND THEN HOW DO I REMOVE THE CURRENT ONE FROM MY SITE?

Re: Froogle Feed - Anyone have a working contib?

The problem with the Froogle Feed since Froogle changed to Google base is in the character encoding of the files. iso-8859-1 is no longer accepted, and it has to be utf-8 - but this prevents problems also. utf-8 does not support some characters - so £ signs become ?

You need to edit both english.php files and change the encoding to utf-8 and then go through your site and replace the invalid characters produced by using utf-8. I'd backup your database before doing this.

This is only if you are using an automated Froogle Feed. If you are doing it from an Excel spreadheet then you just need to save it as an ms-dos text file.
