found in the downloads section is very very buggy, many files are in error due to improper coding creating many problems and site load and page failures.

This pack also does not validate XHTML due to the same issue of improper character coding.

Unless you wish to debug the files(and there are many) it is not a suggested download at this time.

Thanks for reporting this. If the language pack itself creates problem as it is does not respond to XHTML language, I guess I will have to stop my work on translating this pack for French-Canadian version. :blink:

Ok, that works much much better...

What I have found is that some funny characters are found, I've replaced with ascii code like alt 130 and that works, not sure why that is, but using pure alt codes vs special representation like & for example at times does not always work either.

But the vers I got from the last link you gave now validates ok, have yet to test all functions at this point.

Perhaps it is time to use some str_replace within the language packs. This should resolved the issue between the alt codes and special characters. :wink2:

Does anyone know if there is a upgraded french pak covering the last upgrade. The current lang pak has many issues with the latest version of ZC, quite a number of missing translations that I have come across:sleepy:

It was said that this one was working perfectly under Zen Cart v1.3x. Isn't the case ?

with 1.3.0.1 its fine, but if you install the update 1.3.0.2 then things get somewhat whacky.

The changes in 1.3.0.2 are not reflected in the French pak from the link provided before. I have found quite a few instances of missing translations. I do a file-sidebyside compare and add where needed so far...

Thanks for reporting this. The best thing to do would be to compare the old readings with the new readings by using a compare tool software (such as: Beyond compare 2). :thumbsup:

Because we are using zencart for one of our project, a friend and me had to use a french translation.

Unfortunetely the one in the download section was completely out of date.
We decided to correct it and put it in the section (currently 1.3.7-v3).

I think this thread will be a good place for you to post bugs or un-translated sentences.

We have installed a demo where you can see the translation at work.

it is a vanilla install (I think we say like this when it is without modification ?), with our french translation and CAPTCHA plugin.
By the way we modify the CAPTCHA plugin but it is another topic.

you can subscribe and do what you want, we will reset the database every hour.

We are sorry for our previous releases (1.3.7-v1 and 1.3.7-v2), they were done quickly with some bugs and missing files.
Normally v3 is now OK.

I am using your French translation and there is a problem with emails sent in text format, for example order confirmation. They contain html entities such as é or  

I created an account and did a test order on your demo, but the email sending doesn't seem to work. I wanted to see if your demo has the same problem.

If you have a real store somwhere, could you please check if you have the same problem ? If not, what did you do to solve this ?

I discovered that my email server was blacklisted, I corrected it but that will take about 24hours to take effect.

Thanks for your support. It looks like only the variables are showing problems with the accents when sent via plain-text by E-Mail. I confirm to you that my charset is working fine as sending a plain-text E-Mail with accent from the admin console works fine.
I also found an interesting post related to the same problem but on OSCommerce. The 3rd option to solve this problem proposes the creattion of a PHP function....Well I'm not an expert...see below:
