Take a few minutes to read through the files in the /docs directory ...
Then read through the FAQs ...
There is also the WIKI to help on many questions like this ...
What I do is go to the Admin ... Tools ... Developer's Tool Kit ...
Then, in the bottom input box, type in a word or phrase you are looking for ...
Select either Catalog, Admin or Catalog/Admin and click the Search ...
What this does is locate all occurances of a word or phrase in the php files and gives you the path and line numbers of the files on your site ...
This will help you locate variables, constants, defines, etc. that you are unsure of where they are setup or where they might be used ...
Example: search for the phrase ...
You have successfully installed
And you will see where in the language files this is defined and can edit it to your own words ...
