Strange Characters in Product Description

Hello,
I am using Firefox to edit the description fields for my products. When I enter the description it looks fine, however when I later display the description in any browser, a new character has been inserted. For example:

Light purple, eggplant, light olive green, and white card with 3 stamped flowers and eyelet centers. 'Happy Mother's Day' is stamped in olive green. Inside says, " All that I am or hope to be I owe to my angel mother. ~Abraham Lincoln" White envelope included.

After 'centers.' and 'green.' the A with the hat is inserted. I don't have this problem when I use IE, however I have others editing this with Mac and they prefer to use Safari or Firefox.

Has anyone seen this problem before?

I have never seen this when entering products,
only when copy one db to another
