Upgrading Portuguese Language pack for new Zen help...

Hi guys I am upgrading from 1.24 to 1.3.01. I currently have my site running perfectly at one address and this is the 1.24 version (http://www.winesvidanova.com/shop) in Englisha dn Portugese.

I am now trying to get the Portugese to work with the new Zen as it is out of date, but I really don't understand or know what to do to upgrade a language pack ? I have read all the how to do this in the wiki but am lost, is anyone wanting to offer advice/help ?? please let me know

I am not sure what needs doing, I am using the Portugese language pack on the zen downloads, which worked fine on my old cart. I am also using English as the main language.
I am just not sure how you make them compatible, any help or advice would be great.

First, you nedd some tools to hlep.

1. Do you have a good file compare and merge utility?
   such as Winmerge

2. Do you have a good editor for the Php file editing?
   such as editor PSPad - freeware editor

I have Winmerge and just use crimson text editor for the php files.

What do I need to do with them now ?
