Dangerous Goods Surcharge.

Hi Guys,

Im situated in Aus and I am using the Auspost module which works like a treat. I have a little issue that I need resolved. Some of my product is classed as Dangerous goods and I need to ship it via a courier because post does not ship D/Goods. I need to know if there is a way to add a $10.00 surcharge to particular items. and then get it to add to the cart at the end.

Im also keen to set up some sort of mod or Table rate for use with my courier TNT Couriers if any one can help with the two above issues please let me know. I used to use a guy who coded my cubecart for me and I would pay him for his troubles so if anybody can help Im glad to throw some bucks your way

Cheers Richard.

Re: Dangerous Goods Surcharge.

I would place a single default radio button attribute on the pages of these items that states dangerous items surcharge and have it added there

Re: Dangerous Goods Surcharge.

I thought of that but then its up to the customer to click it and thats not reliable enough. It only needs to be added once per order not for each item. What I was thinking of having a bit of code put into the products attributes that you click when you add the product and also set the price for it in there. Then when the client adds it to the cart the surcharge will automaticly apply itself to the cart and display in the cart but only charged once per order not per item.

Cheers Richard

Hmmm thats sounds promising now a question.

If I add an attribute for dangerous goods I want the attribute to add $10 to the charge only once and cancell the auspost mod out, Or to drop all shipping mods and then I will do a manual price for shipping, is this possible using the attributes ?

Cheers Richard.

Re: Dangerous Goods Surcharge.

you could make that item use the free shipping,
and you could redefine the term free shipping to will quote
