To Zen Cart Admin - Re: iDev Affiliate

Hi there,

I'm sorry, I know I should know who this should be directed to but my mind is just blank!

I just wanted to let you know of the absolutely horrible experience I am having with iDev, because you do recommend them on the Recommended Services page of this site. I completely realize that noone here is responsible for the actions of iDev, but I just thought you might want to know, it's my understanding that others have had bad experiences as well, so perhaps they're not a good company to recommend?

I purchased iDev Affilliate Gold over a week ago. The Commission Alert program will not install, the file keeps giving me an error message. This is probably something very simple, but I just don't know what. I've installed lots of other programs with no difficulties. Anyways, I checked their site and could not find a phone number or e-mail address. The only way to contact them is via their support ticket system. So I opened a ticket and waited to hear. I did not receive a response so opened another ticket. To date I have opened 6 tickets and not received a response. I filed a claim with Paypal and it was denied because Paypal protection does not cover electronic goods. I am so frustrated right now. The affiliate part works fine, I would just like them to either send me an install file that works, or refund the $50 extra I paid for the Commission Alert/Commission Stats programs.

I am just totally shocked at their lack of communication. Even if the error is because of something I did wrong, the least they could do is e-mail me back. I have never dealt with a company with this poor of customer service. I wish now that I'd paid via credit card so I could do a chargeback :(

OK, I'm done now :wink2: I just wanted to share this so hopefully others don't encounter the same problem.

Oooh one other thing, there is a customer service phone number linked to their paypal account, going to try that right now :) But still, IMHO there is no excuse for their lack of response to the support tickets.

Wow...unbelievable...when you call their customer service number, it just rings forever, and then goes to an automated message that says "Noone is available to take your call, please call again" and then hangs up on you!!! You cannot even leave a message!

Hi all,

For anyone who is using iDevaffiliate's software - are you experiencing problems with the admin email or the new account notification email?
Have you had trouble getting in touch with them when issues arise?

How about a phone number to contact them?

The online support ticket has generated no repsonse for me.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,
Ezra

You may notice that they haven't been on our recommended list for awhile now, due to the many reports of these kinds of problems with them.

Re: To Zen Cart Admin - Re: iDev Affiliate

Hi Everyone,

Im new here and im glad i found this forum.
I purchased the idevdirect affiliate script last week on thursday and still i do not have the script.

Reason: the download failed, after 1-3 meg was downloaded, it just looked like its finished but when i opened the zip i got error, file missing.

So only about 1 out of 7 meg was downloaded.

I tried 4 times until the downloadlink was disabled. My friend tried on another machine too and he experienced the same problem.

I sent emails, no reply, called the seller of the script i got him on the phone.
He reactivated 5 more downloads and said i should call again next day if it does not work.

Well, download did not work again and i called immediately, did not get hold on him, since i`m calling every day 10-20 times from europe but he might be out of town.

I sent him 6 emails to differnent email addresses, no reply.

Sure i never experienced this kind of support, i sent him $150 and he is not in hurry to deliver value.

Ok, in case this guy is not sending me the script i would like to ask someone of you if you can send me the script, not sure if there is a key which does not allow me to make it run, if not i would appreciate it.

Of course i would show you my paypal receipt and i would let you login to my idev account, so you can see that i really purchased the script.

I don`t need the support of this seller but the script looks like a very good one.

I appreciate your help, all i`m asking for is the product i purchased.

Thanks

Franz

It is a good script and now they are trying to improve their customer support. Check their site and call them at the number now listed for live support during the hours posted.

Cheers,
Peter

Re: To Zen Cart Admin - Re: iDev Affiliate

I realize this was posted a few months ago, but I was wondering how you resolved your issues with iDevAffiliate script? Seems a number of people are jumping ship and looking for an alternative affiliate management system.

I was looking for something that integrated with ZenCart and I didn't want any hassles. I looked at iDevAffiliate but with so many nightmarish comments by others, I finally settled on JAM (by Jrox). It integrates with ZenCart nicely and they have active customer support. :smartass: To date, I've posted about 3 questions and got immediate feedback from the developer, so I can really vouch for their customer service. (One question was about install issues and my question today was about integrating my autoresponders system, AutoResponse Plus, into the JAM affiliate system.

If you are still looking and need to migrate your affiliate records from iDev, add JAM to your short list because they include a script to migrate from both iDevAffiliate and Ultimate Affiliate. (I haven't had need of it, but you never know.)

Admins: Maybe you can check this out and recommend it for ZenCart users? A special feature ZenCart some store owners will like is the ability to automatically add customers to their affiliate program.
