product list background color

I am experminting with 1.3. and see that product lists are not alternating colors in some templates. If we go without tables as zen cart is inclined, how does one get this look back. Forgive me as I have no idea what I am doing, just trying to get there from here. And I am just assuming it has to do with tables.

I found this thread for an answer to 1.2x versions in archive.

But I find nothing in the style sheet simalar to this post suggestion, (but that could be just me, I'm on "few" beers by now, and its almost 2 am here)

oh, and before I go get another refreshing beverage, I do know that the Classic template has alternating colors in its product list.

But I heard this conspiracy theory that it has those dreaded tables, a half breed do everything for everybody template (no insult intended to the code work, much respect is intended to the hard work) . So I did not want to learn on this classic template.

I am trying the Custom, blue theme and Future Zen so far. Forgive me for not giving credit to you who put these togeather, I can barley spell as it is.

And why I am focusing on these colors is beyond me, as I have much more inportant things to fix. But I am sure there are many out there who understand where I am.

in your stylesheet.css you will need to add the following selectors.

productListing-odd {background-color: #whatevercolor;}
productListing-even {background-color #whatevercolor;}

Add following to stylesheet of template being used.. One below
have designed for Future Zen

.productListing-odd {
	background-color: #E5EDF5;
	height: 1.5em;
	vertical-align: top;
	}

.productListing-even {
	background-color: #FFFFFF;
	height: 1.5em;
	vertical-align: top;
	}

well.... Thank you!, already tried the code copy and paste and it works great.

Now I can goes to sleep with a good feeling of new acomplishment for this day with your kind productive and quick responses. I quess I am not the only one up so late.
