How do I change Congratulations! You have successfully installed your Zen Cart™ E-Commerce Solution?

look in includes -> languages -> english -> index.php and find this:

/Replace this text with the headline you would like for your shop. For example: 'Welcome to My SHOP!'/
define('HEADING_TITLE', 'Congratulations! You have successfully installed your Zen Cart™ E-Commerce Solution.');
} elseif ($category_depth == 'nested') {
// This section deals with displaying a subcategory
/Replace this line with the headline you would like for your shop. For example: 'Welcome to My SHOP!'/
define('HEADING_TITLE', 'Congratulations! You have successfully installed your Zen Cart™ E-Commerce Solution.');
}

change the portions in red to whatever you want.
save the file to the correct folder and upload to the correct folder on your server.

Also take the time to read through the /docs and the FAQs and the WIKI ...

A lot of all basic questions plus numerous detailed questions have been posted ...

The search on the upper left of your screen will also help you in finding things ...

Plus peek at the Admin ... Tools ... Developer's Tool Kit ...

Bottom input box type in a word, phrase, variable, constant, etc. and select where to search ... this will find the file and line number for you ...

I even used propper override technique.. stuck it inside my /myTemplateName/ folder.... god my spelling needs work???

Is there any way to stop this line of text displaying?

IE, not change the text (as i've already done that), but actually remove HEADING_TITLE from the main page?

If you redefine HEADING_TITLE to '' instead of 'this is my changed text' then it'll display nothing because it's defined to nothing. So, all you have to do is change the text again ... but change it to nothing.
Deleting the whole definition will just cause HEADING_TITLE to show up where you don't want it.

In includes/languages/english/YOUR_TEMPLATE/english.php, change

define('HEADING_TITLE', 'Congratulations! You have successfully installed your Zen Cart™ E-Commerce Solution.');

to

define('HEADING_TITLE', '');

Those are two single quotes with nothing between.

Fantastic, thanks very much. Really should have checked that out for myself first but presumed that it would still show the title, but just with a blank space instead of the text. As it is, it completely removes it.

I dont have the "congratulations..." in my index.php but its on my site? I really want to take it off there!

I searched for this on my file manager in cPanel and it doesnt find YOUR_TEMPLATE

your template needs top be created by YOU

I would suggest before trying to go any further with this you take a look in the FAQ at the top of this page and read up on templates
